Experience: · I am currently a Year 4 teacher and a middle leader and I have a wealth of experience and knowledge of teaching Maths, English and Reading. · I have 4 years of experience of teaching in KS1 and 10 years experience of teaching in KS2. I have worked across different year groups and I currently teach Year 4. · I have developed excellent behaviour management strategies and always hold high expectations of all the children that I teach and celebrate their achievements and success at each step. · I plan my lessons with clear objectives and steps to success to ensure that there is successful learning and progression. · I have experience of working with children with SEN and have many strategies to support their needs from using task planners, to widget and scaffolding their learning at each stage.

Unique teaching method My lessons follow a unique lesson design enabling children to make accelerated progress as follows: · Recap learning to ensure children have good retrieval from previous lessons · Introduce new learning and go through vocabulary needed for the lesson · Clear modelling (through visual and equipment) so that pupils gain deeper and clear understanding of concepts especially in Maths and English Grammar · Have a go! – Pupils have a go with support and consolidate learning · Apply – using reasoning questions to apply new learning to a real life contexts · Assess – How much has pupil progressed within the lesson? |
