By instinct I am a physical geographer with a deep understnding of landscape & atmospheric processes that often baffle urban based students. Human/economic geography is such a fluid field that many students find it hard keep up with the tide of potential current examples that text books simply cannot keep up with. Context and contemporary knowledge is everything! In terms of applied geographical issues and case studies, I maintain that current affairs and geography have so much to offer today's students who take an interest in the world around them. In any of the above, the trick is to have a certain curiousity. |
