Keen, ambitious and enthusiastic, I am highly motivated whether working alone, or as part of a team. Experienced in teaching Art and Design from Year 7 up to Advanced level, I feel my role in the classroom is to engage each pupil and instill in them, the enthusiasm I have for the subject.
I believe the role of teacher is to be a facilitator, and by balancing didactic and creative approaches I aim to establish an environment that allows each pupil to realise their full potential.
Art provides children with an opportunity to express themself creatively, using a visual language. The subject actively encourages them to present an individual response, and in doing so, as well as learning about art, they are learning about themselves, and the society of which they are a part. |
