Educational background
I did my GCSEs at The Leigh Academy and achieved 5 grade 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemsitry, Physics and RE. 5 grade 8s as well as an A* in Further Maths. I then went on to do my A levels at King Edward VI Grammar School, Chelmsford and achieved 4 A*s in A level Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. During my A levels I discovered my passion for teaching when I signed up to become a physics mentor for GCSE Physics students which ,alongside my clinical placement at my local hospital , led me to conclude that a career in medicine was right for me.
Teaching style
I structure my lessons by first identifying areas that a student is weak in. This could be via a small quiz or simply by them compiling a list of topics they struggle on. I then teach the topic, giving the student plenty of opportunities to ask questions when they are unsure. Then they will be given assignments to complete in order to consolidate and assess their knowledge. An exam will also be conducted following completion of a group of topics.
Experience
With three years of experience teaching A-level and GCSE maths, biology, chemistry, and physics, I bring a wealth of knowledge, skills, and expertise to the table. My teaching style is engaging and interactive, and I strive to make complex concepts accessible and easy to understand for all of my students. I have a proven track record of helping students achieve their academic goals, with many of my students going on to excel in their exams and pursue further studies in science and math-related fields.
