I have been teaching privately for over 20 years. In that time I have had hundreds of students, many of whom have taken multiple ABRSM exams, diplomas, music GCSE, A level and gone on to study music at university/college. I’ve also been involved in many school workshops, delivering music education to primary and secondary school students. Beginner students all start in the same place, learning the fundamentals of music and piano. There is a big focus on rhythm during the early lessons. Once students have developed I allow them to choose their own path, whether it be classical or jazz, taking exams or not taking exams. I guide students in the direction that THEY want to follow.
