Hello and welcome to Mr S. Maths!
I teach solely GCSE Maths. I've been teaching and tutoring Maths now for 10 years!
I own Mr S. Maths and I have a unique way I love to teach and tutor. Here's how it works
Step #1] Pre lesson videos. I record prelesson videos the prepare the students for the lesson. This is to get them up to the standard of our live lesson
Step #2] Weekly live lessons. I teach weekly live classes. I have lessons for foundation, for higher (grades 567) and for higher (grades 789). Each class focuses on a topic of the week going over as many exam questions as we can fit in!
Step #3] Weekly test. You will attempt a 10 mark test following the lesson.
Step #4] You will watch the video walkthrough of the test. This will allow you to mark and correct any mistakes
Step #5] You will log your scores to your personal log (that I provide) and this will now become your revision guide!

My approach is variable depending on the ability of the student and what they are struggling on at the time. However I believe that the practicing of past paper questions is vital for examination success. It is the attention to detail which counts in an examination and I make sure all of my students know everything in the syllabus and have practiced lots of different styles of examination question. I tutor online using Skype, Zoom, Teams and FaceTime usually texting, emailing or messaging students examination practice questions which works really well. At the moment all my tutoring is online. I've been playing the drums more than a decade now and I have experience with bands which play original music, function bands, big bands, orchestras and small jazz ensembles.
I was in the cruise ship industry for about 7 years and built up a repertoire of over 450 tunes.
My dissertation in university was on most efficient ways of teaching music (Dalcroze, Kodaly, Suzuki methods). I did an extensive research, experienced some of the methods first hand and I’m pretty confident the performance I’m offering as a teacher would lead to results.
I also play the bass and the piano and believe that any sort of a melodic instrument can be really helpful for drummers to create better approach towards music.
I'm based in Harborne, Birmingham and I teach at home where my drum kit is set.
I would also consider teaching at your house as long as my transport is covered and you have a kit.
Fee is £30 per hour.

I am a University of Leicester graduate with a 2:1 in BSc in Mathematics and Actuarial Science with a Year in Industry. I have completed my GCSE's and CIE AS and A Levels where Maths was one of my subjects.
I have had experience in tutoring a GCSE, 2 overseas IGCSE students and an overseas A Levels student in CIE A Level Maths. All 4 students have achieved excellent results in their respective exams.
