P
Psychology teacher in Stone, UK.
I am an extremely experienced teacher/tutor and examiner of A level Psychology and Sociology. I have experience of tutoring for AQA, OCR, Edexcel and Cambridge International for Psychology and AQA for Sociology.
Although I have no reviews on this platform, you can see my 5 star reviews on tutorful.
In my years of teaching and tutoring at A level, I have built up a wealth of resources that are used and shared with my tutees in helping them consistently achieve A* and A grades.
My approach to tutoring is to be flexible and approachable so that students feel free to ask any questions that they wish.
My examining experience is second to none, having been Chief Examiner for A level Psychology and senior positions for A level Sociology. I am currently a senior examiner for A level Psychology.
My tutoring is always totally exam focused, aided by my examining experience which gives me invaluable insight into how the exams are marked and what the exam boards are looking for.
My knowledge of Psychology and Sociology is very strong as I have published textbooks related to the A level Psychology specifications.

I am friendly, approachable and enjoy making learning meaningful for pupils. My lessons begin with starting activities to recap the previous learning, identify any misconceptions. Moving onto the main part of the lesson I plan activities promoting fluency in the skill then application to a real-life situation or worded exam-style question. Games and quizzes can be fun and useful in testing rapid recall.
I have been teaching for fifteen years and have taught learners of all abilities, backgrounds and socio-economic circumstances, planning for progression and offering timely feedback. I endeavour to make learning as enjoyable as possible and do my utmost to "make learning stick". I am compassionate and go the extra mile for learners.

I have been a science teacher for the past 6/7 years in Staffordshire. Last year my classes achieved an average of two grades above their GCSE target grades. The school I am currently teaching at in Staffordshire is ranked 4th in the county in terms of progress 8.
I am a well qualified graduate achieving an upper second class degree in biology at the university of Liverpool. I have been tutoring both biology and chemistry for the past two years on tutorhunt. During this time, I have helped multiple students achieve excellent grades in science.
I am available most days during the week and would be flexible if needed to change time. I am willing to travel around 15 miles from my house address. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

With over 20 years of experience in education, I am a dedicated and passionate teacher and tutor focused on helping students unlock their full potential. My approach is centred around developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and adaptability, ensuring that every student is equipped for success both in the classroom and beyond. I create a tailored tutoring plan that aligns with the individual's needs and goals.
I have extensive experience working with students across various age groups and abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), such as Autism and learning difficulties. I tailor my tutoring sessions to meet the individual needs of each student, providing personalised support to help them overcome challenges and excel academically.
Having worked in leadership roles as a Maths and Computing Lead and an NCETM Maths Specialist, I am well-versed in delivering effective, engaging lessons that build confidence and mastery. I’m committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow from their experiences.
Whether you're looking for support with Maths, Reading, Writing or SPaG tutoring, my aim is to make learning enjoyable and accessible. I provide clear explanations, use innovative teaching strategies, and focus on building resilience and self-esteem, helping students not just to improve their grades, but to develop a lifelong love of learning.

I’m 31 years of age. I have a variety of interests including football, video games and Marvel comics and films. For the last 3 winters I took a break from teaching to spend time abroad working the winter ski seasons. Unfortunately I’m still not an expert skier and my snowboarding is rubbish, but I saw some beautiful sights!
10 years in total as a maths teacher (including training year).
1 and a half years as second in department, including training new teachers.
Have continued work on term placements over the last 2 years in between ski work.
I develop fundamental understanding through thought provoking questions and a patient approach.
I endeavour to liaise with class teachers to ensure that the work covered in tuition is there to develop understanding in weak areas as oppose to identifying them.
When necessary I can use my experience of the 3 main exam boards and corresponding materials to help identify challenging topics.
