I’m 31 years of age. I have a variety of interests including football, video games and Marvel comics and films. For the last 3 winters I took a break from teaching to spend time abroad working the winter ski seasons. Unfortunately I’m still not an expert skier and my snowboarding is rubbish, but I saw some beautiful sights! 10 years in total as a maths teacher (including training year). 1 and a half years as second in department, including training new teachers. Have continued work on term placements over the last 2 years in between ski work. I develop fundamental understanding through thought provoking questions and a patient approach. I endeavour to liaise with class teachers to ensure that the work covered in tuition is there to develop understanding in weak areas as oppose to identifying them. When necessary I can use my experience of the 3 main exam boards and corresponding materials to help identify challenging topics. |
