I am a certified German language teacher. For a long time I lived in Germany and studied at a German language school. I prepare students for passing the exams: Goethe Zertifikat (A1-C2), TestDaf, Telc (A1-C2), DSH.
With seven years' experience of teaching and tutoring Classics in a variety of contexts, I am a kind and knowledgeable tutor, who sets high standards of her tutees. I tailor my tuition to each individual person's needs and interests, making learning interesting, challenging and fun.

I hold an MA in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Cambridge. I have taught in Senior Schools and Sixth Form Colleges since completing my PGCE (also Cambridge) 20 years ago. Until recently I was a Head of RS, and am an experienced GCSE & A level tutor. I'm an examiner for GCSE RS, with an outstanding track record of results for my classes; I have also completed examiner training for A level RS. I am just taking up examining for Sociology GCSE. I am an experienced tutor for the 13+ TPR scholarship papers, with success in tutoring Y8 students for top schools. I offer support to young people for all types of entry to Senior Schools, and University preparation to study Theology.

He also has significant industrial experience in vegetable oil and oily waste servicing industries, working in various capacities from Research and Development Chemist, overseeing the quality control unit to a Lead / Senior Operator of a Thermal Desorption Unit (TDU) plant used for the remediation of hydrocarbon-contaminated oily wastes. His Industrial experience adds practical insights to his academic expertise. His educational background includes a strong proficiency in the Russian language, gained during his studies in Ukraine. Dr A. has held various administrative roles such as Head of Department and Dean of Faculty, demonstrating his leadership and versatility in adapting to new academic trends.

I have been tutoring individual pupils from a variety of backgrounds and abilities for nearly a decade now. I have also been teaching GCSE, A-Level, and Year 9 history since 2013-14, and have an outstanding track record in terms of results. Approximately 90% of the students I have taught at GCSE level have achieved a 7-9 grade, and I have had pupils achieve places at Oxbridge to read History within the last two years. I have excellent technical knowledge of exam preparation and essay or source paper questions, and am especially familiar with content involving the crusades (1099-1204), Russia 1894-1924, International Relations 1919-1990, and Germany 1918-45. That being said, I am willing to work on content from any time period, and with pupils of any ability or age level. My particular strength lies in the passion that I have for my subject, and my primary aim is to inspire pupils with a love for the subject.
Outside of the classroom I have led or been involved with student trips to Berlin, Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg), and the battlefields of France and Belgium.
