I am an enthusiastic and patient tutor, and have had previous experience tutoring 11+, as well as ancient languages. I have taught 11+ English, Maths, Verbal and Non-verbal reasoning for both the CSSE and CEM exam boards.
As someone who learned both Latin and Ancient Greek ab initio as part of my university degree and is now proficient in both, I feel I am able to confidently teach the skills that enabled me to learn these languages to students of any but the most advanced level. Due to COVID-19, all lessons will be taught online via Skype.
I am able to provide full-length lessons teaching material for the first time (11+, Latin and Ancient Greek only), as well as mark work, provide feedback on essays, and work through past exam papers (particularly relevant for 11+).
A busy Mum of two, used to be a middle manager in Manchester school but moved to Lincolnshire 10yrs ago with my husband and new baby daugher, another daughter came along soon after. Now our girls are getting older I have a little time to spare to help students improve their general science, GCSE science in any science disipine or provide help with A level Chemistry. About Me:
I have an Honours Degree in Spanish & French from the University of Exeter, and a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics & Second Language Acquisition (aka. how people learn foreign languages) from the University of Oxford.
I have been tutoring and helping students get the top grades in languages for over 5 years now.

Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.

Hello and welcome to Connect Maths Tutor. I am Viviane D. and a qualified Secondary Maths teacher of 14 years. I have considerable experience in supporting students across KS3 and preparing students to sit KS4 Maths GCSE 9-1 specification Higher/foundation.
Having acquired substantial experience of working with a significant range of students and abilities, I understand fully the barriers to learning in Maths. I am a first year Physics student at the University of Kent. I have always enjoyed teaching and academia, so much so that my dream in life is to become a theoretical physicist after graduation. MY STORY
I am currently a grade-one “outstanding” teacher in my present school, and have been delivering KS3, GCSE and A Level English, Maths and History in the secondary and sixth-form sectors for the past 16 years, in which time my results have far surpassed national pass rates. Moreover, due to these outstanding results and innovative teaching methods, I have served as Assistant Head of Department; helping us to be awarded an internal grade 1 “outstanding” rating for the 6 years in which I held the post. Furthermore, I also have extensive experience as an “Advanced Practitioner”-tasked with turning around failing cohorts in some of the UK’s toughest classrooms, as well as my time as an examiner for a variety of GCSE/A Level exam boards.

TUTORING APPROACH
Besides enjoying superb results, my pupils benefit from a relaxed yet challenging atmosphere, with high commitment being expected of them and this has shown to bring both personal and academic growth, which is always pleasing to see. In light of this dedication to using Smart tech to deliver a first-class education, throughout my teaching career in inner-city schools and sixth-forms, I have become known for never leaving any learner behind, whilst using creative methods in covering the curriculum in an accessible and enjoyable way.

My name is José María de Lucas Sacristán, though most know me as Chema Sacristán. I've been a professional drummer since 2004. I'd like to share a brief biography of my career in the U.K. In 2002, at 19, I realized my love for music and moved to Bristol, U.K., where I lived for four years. Bristol exposed me to all sorts of music, including rock, jazz, world music, and more. I played my first shows and worked with over five different local bands, gaining valuable experience. In 2006, I moved to London to study at Tech Music Schools, known as "Drum Tech," where I completed my higher education and earned a BMUS in Popular Music Performance (Hons), licensed by West London University. After completing my degree in 2011, I worked exclusively as a performing drummer and drum teacher, giving private lessons in my own studio, Oktopus Music Services, in North West London. In the past nine years, I've had the privilege of performing, recording, and writing with some of the best musicians in the London and U.K. scene, such as Kevin Glasgow (one of Europe's best bassists), Robin Banerjee (Amy Winehouse's guitarist), Roberto Manzin (Zucchero), Felipe Martíns (Emeterians), Juan Whist (The Voice National Spanish TV), and many others. I've showcased in most of London's live music venues and with the best U.K. and European entertainment agencies, such as Scarlett Entertainment, Full Stop Entertainment, and more. After 20 years of professional experience, I've decided to focus fully on teaching drums and performing. My studies and extensive career reflect my devotion to music, and I've mastered many techniques, including improvising, independence, coordination, and vocabulary in most music styles of modern popular music and some world music genres.
