I am a Maths teacher with 20 years experience of tutoring. I have also taught Maths in schools in Sheffield and Oxford. I have tutored at pre GCSE to A-Level standard. I believe success in Mathematics comes from hard work and personal motivation. I am happy to tutor all students of Mathematics from 10 or 11 years to A-level and including adult education. Quite often my time in Mathematics tuition has been taken up by A-level students who were in way over thier heads due to the jump in the difficulty of the subject from GCSE to A-level, even the best GCSE students can struggle at A-level. I would always advise students to spend some of the summer run up period to starting A-level studying as much of the early A-level work as possible. Unless the student is particularly gifted in math, then success in A-level or GCSE will be dependent on a great deal of hard work and practice on the students behalf. I am currently in the middle of relocating so I am not available till mid-summer 2025, however I am able to provide free resources and direction to helpful resources which may be of use in the meantime. |
