Until recently I was a Head of RS, and am an experienced GCSE & A level tutor. I'm an examiner for GCSE RS, with an outstanding track record of results for my classes; I have also completed examiner training for A level RS. I am an experienced tutor for the 13+ TPR scholarship papers, with success in tutoring Y8 students for top schools. I offer support to young people for all types of entry to Senior Schools, and University preparation to study Theology.

I have been tutoring for over two decades outside my day job as an Actuary.
In A level Mathematics I got the highest mark in the England and Wales (100%) so know what it takes to reach the top.
However, I don't just focus on those with an aptitude for mathematics but also those who are struggling and want to reach next level. I helped SEN students as well as those who wish to get ahead of their peers.
I have helped adults get into higher education as well as a young year 4 maths prodigy excel through to year 8 maths work.
Online or in-person both work with the latter being my preference. I live in Leicester LE3 but can drive to you if reasonable. I cover all Key Stages up to and including GCSE.

I have received a distinction for the LRSM in Piano Performance, I have also completed my Grade 8 for my Flute. I am working towards my FRSM. I am offering high-quality lessons in both instruments. I have won many piano competitions locally and internationally. I have performed in Salzburg and Bonn for the Grand Prize Virtuoso Music Competition, and have recently performed my piano concerto debut in Oakham. What a typical lesson entails:
Start- Synoptic Retrieval- Revision going over everything covered in previous lessons and also at school to ensure that the student is up to date with content
Middle- Teaching and learning- Learning content typically one point on the specification that the student struggles with
End- Practice Questions to ensure that student completely understands the topic and is prepared for the exam.
Dr Atamgba A. is an accomplished university teacher with a rich interdisciplinary academic experience in Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition as well as Chemistry. He has taught various aspects of Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition, and Chemistry (both inorganic and organic). With over a decade of teaching and research, he has worked in various university environments, both public and private, across Nigeria and Uganda. Dr A. is known for his participatory teaching approach and effective use of various analytical tools. He has been an External Examiner both at the ordinary level (O-level)and university level. He also has significant industrial experience in vegetable oil and oily waste servicing industries, working in various capacities from Research and Development Chemist, overseeing the quality control unit to a Lead / Senior Operator of a Thermal Desorption Unit (TDU) plant used for the remediation of hydrocarbon-contaminated oily wastes. His Industrial experience adds practical insights to his academic expertise. His educational background includes a strong proficiency in the Russian language, gained during his studies in Ukraine. Dr A. has held various administrative roles such as Head of Department and Dean of Faculty, demonstrating his leadership and versatility in adapting to new academic trends.

I have been tutoring individual pupils from a variety of backgrounds and abilities for nearly a decade now. I have also been teaching GCSE, A-Level, and Year 9 history since 2013-14, and have an outstanding track record in terms of results. Approximately 90% of the students I have taught at GCSE level have achieved a 7-9 grade, and I have had pupils achieve places at Oxbridge to read History within the last two years. I have excellent technical knowledge of exam preparation and essay or source paper questions, and am especially familiar with content involving the crusades (1099-1204), Russia 1894-1924, International Relations 1919-1990, and Germany 1918-45. That being said, I am willing to work on content from any time period, and with pupils of any ability or age level. My particular strength lies in the passion that I have for my subject, and my primary aim is to inspire pupils with a love for the subject.
Outside of the classroom I have led or been involved with student trips to Berlin, Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg), and the battlefields of France and Belgium.
