I have been tutoring for over two decades outside my day job as an Actuary.
In A level Mathematics I got the highest mark in the England and Wales (100%) so know what it takes to reach the top.
However, I don't just focus on those with an aptitude for mathematics but also those who are struggling and want to reach next level. I helped SEN students as well as those who wish to get ahead of their peers.
I have helped adults get into higher education as well as a young year 4 maths prodigy excel through to year 8 maths work.
Online or in-person both work with the latter being my preference. I live in Leicester LE3 but can drive to you if reasonable. I cover all Key Stages up to and including GCSE.

I want to teach because I’m passionate about helping others grow and reach their potential. What a typical lesson entails:
Start- Synoptic Retrieval- Revision going over everything covered in previous lessons and also at school to ensure that the student is up to date with content
Middle- Teaching and learning- Learning content typically one point on the specification that the student struggles with
End- Practice Questions to ensure that student completely understands the topic and is prepared for the exam.
I am a qualified and passionate primary school teacher. I have experience teaching and tutoring across Key Stage 1 and 2. I love teaching, building positive relationships and making learning fun and accessible to everyone. Every child deserves the best start in life. I provide support across all of primary school across subjects as well as specific support in year 6 SATs, phonics, 11+ entrance exams, and SEN support. I tailor sessions to meet the exact needs. I have taught and tutored children with a range of educational needs such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, processing speed, autism and much more. I am currently studying for my Masters in Education at Leicester University and I am also training to become a specialist Dyslexia teacher. I currently offer sessions outside of school hours. Hello. I am an enthusiastic young person that loves Maths. I have had 7 years of tutoring experience.
I am able to help the students with:

- revise for an exam
- teach areas that the students are not as comfortable with
The first lesson will normally be a test just so that I can see where the students are at. This will help me identify which topics the student is best at and which ones need a little more practice.

Looking to aid GCSE and A level students of Mathematics looking to push themselves and unlock their full potential. This may range from moving from foundation to higher at GCSE, or moving from grades 6-7 up to 8-9 and similar for A Level.
I am a college student who is an individual who is motivated to strive and help people understand concepts and help them to fully understand the topic.
I have grade 8s across my GCSEs and am looking to help other people achieve this aswell.
I am a secondary school student who specialises in teaching younger children. I always ensure that they understand what I am saying and do my best to get them where they need to be. My charges are reasonably cheap because I hope that everyone can seek help from me, whether they can afford it or not.
I have also completed Work Experience, as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary school. I worked with children from ages 5-11, and took part in many roles such as admin work, assisting students and supporting them in their work, providing help when needed.
My main experience is in KS2 (Years 4, 5 and 6) but am qualified for the whole Primary age range, 5- 11 years. In my experience as a Teacher, I have taught children with Dyslexia, children with Autism, children with Aspergers, children with social and emotional needs and looked after children.
My approach is very child centered. I look at celebrating the positives first and then gradually working through the harder bits, all at the child's pace, with a view to plugging any gaps so the child can celebrate success in their learning.
I teach in many different ways to appeal to the different learning styles (auditory, visual and kinaesthetic) and believe it is important to give the child a meaningful context to their learning (i. e relate it to everyday life).

I have been teaching since 2006 as a Primary School Teacher and have been very fortunate and lucky to have worked at a range of schools.
I have taught in outstanding schools, that have been satisfactory or required improvement and faith schools. I have taught as a classroom teacher in KS1 and KS2. I have experience of both phonics assessment and SATS experience. The bulk of my career has been teaching in London schools and more recently I have taught in schools in Leicestershire, Derby and Nottingham. It has been a valuable teaching experience which has certainly shaped my professional outlook and provided me with a rich insight into what you can achieve with children. Lesson observations of my teaching have highlight how children are enthusiastic, engaged, eager to learn and are confident when attempting tasks. Tasks are differentiated for all abilities and especially the higher ability who need to be stretched continually. I encourage children to become independent by trying their best, keep trying and never give up. I have found children to have become resilient and not afraid of tackling new concepts or new challenges.
