Award-winning Online Maths Tutor by NTP (UK) , helping students develop independence, motivation towards learning maths and conceptual understanding.
I am a maths teacher in a popular school in the UK with an MSc in Engineering, and experience in teaching secondary and primary students over physical and online settings.
I believe in student-centered maths learning with independence. I already have experience in assessing students' onboarding and selecting the support plans at ''Global Edtech''. Moreover, I have also worked on SENs (dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism) students that will support this role. I always encourage my students to have a conceptual understanding over the procedural understanding, this would definitely encourage students for their effort, and hence each student will get their own motivation, thus having room for development as well. Having learned different pedagogies of maths learning, I believe I would be a good fit with the strong maths understanding and the experience.

I’m a passionate and experienced tutor in Maths, Further Maths, and Economics, with a strong track record of helping students improve their understanding, confidence, and exam results. I explain complex topics in a clear, step-by-step way and always adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s needs and learning pace.
In Maths, I focus on building strong foundations and helping students tackle topics like algebra, calculus, trigonometry, and statistics with confidence. I make sure students understand the “why” behind each method, not just how to follow steps.
For Further Maths, I guide students through more advanced topics such as matrices, complex numbers, and differential equations. I break down challenging ideas into manageable parts, helping students develop deeper understanding and stronger problem-solving skills.
In Economics, I link theory to real-world examples so students can better understand key concepts in micro and macroeconomics. I also help with essay writing, data analysis, and evaluation techniques, which are all essential for top marks.
My goal is always to make learning engaging, effective, and focused on the student’s goals—whether that’s boosting grades, preparing for university, or building confidence. I’m patient, encouraging, and committed to helping every student reach their full potential.

I am a confident, outgoing and experienced science teacher specialising in biology. I am also confident in chemistry and physics. I currently teach KS3, GCSE and A-level biology students following the AQA exam board, I am also confident teaching Edexcel and OCR.
I strive to make all of science accessible and enjoyable for students, relating topics to real life, and working through areas student find tough until it clicks for them.
My aim with tutoring is to spend the time with a student, understanding their barriers and working on any area that they need as much as they need until they feel more happy with it. I am fully aware that science can be a barrier for some students and I aim to make the subjects more engaging and approachable. This knowledge and understanding can then be built on using exam questions to cement their understanding and hopefully it is then embedded ready for exams. Looking over exam questions is the best form of revision, but it also is a way to show students how similar questions are year and year and hopefully remove some of fear surrounding GCSEs.
I am a teacher who prides herself on building positive relationships with students, both in the classroom and as a form teacher. I believe these positive relationships are the best way for students to feel confident in their own abilities and bring out the belief that they can do anything.
I have experience in teaching (and tutoring) Years 7-11 in all sciences - Biology, Chemistry, Physics. I offer GCSE tutoring in all three subjects, as well as the combined science GCSE. My specialism is in Biology, and I teach and tutor Biology AS and A level. I have experience in tutoring failing students to help them pass their exams, with quite a few achieving average or above average. My exprience has allowed me to build positive relationships with them, know when to push them, help their confidence and see them shine.
I bring a wealth of experience and resources to my tutoring, which has consistently helped students grasp even the most challenging concepts—especially those they’ve previously struggled with. I tailor my approach based on each student's needs, which may include:
Reviewing key topic knowledge, supported by mini assessments and regular exam-style homework
Developing exam techniques through practice papers and strategies for answering different question types
Providing focused knowledge reinforcement
Teaching effective revision strategies
I have experience teaching GCSE Science across the EdExcel, AQA, and OCR exam boards, and I also teach A-level Biology with a focus on the AQA specification. In addition, I have worked as an exam marker for AQA Biology and Chemistry, which has given me valuable insight into the specific skills, techniques, and language students need to master in order to achieve full marks in exam questions.
All of my students who have worked with me for five months or more have improved by at least two grades above their starting level. The minimum improvement I’ve seen is a one-grade increase for all students.

Tutoring Experience
Previous A'level results are: 100% A*-C, 85% A*-A, 8% B, 7% C. 100% of students got into their first choice universities and 31% achieved placed in medical school. These grades are representative of the results achieved in previous years. 2023 GCSE results were 100% grades 9-7 from students taking higher level papers and 100% grade 5 from students sitting the foundation level papers (the highest grade they could attain).
I have been a full-time tutor for the past eleven years and I am a past Vice-President of The Tutors' Association, the professional body for the tuition industry. I was elected into this position by members of the tutoring profession. I tutor as a full-time profession.
I am very familiar with all the major examination boards (AQA, OCR, EdExcel, IB, CIE), I have recent school-based teaching experience at secondary level and I am a current and very experienced biology examiner and question setter, which enables me to explain things from "the examiner's perspective"!
I have worked with children with special educational needs such as Asperger Syndrome, autism, ADHD, partial hearing and dyslexia. Having lived and worked abroad for a number of years, I also have experience of working with students for whom English is an additional language.
Tutoring Approach
I offer tuition either online or face-to-face at my home, where I have an area which is free from distractions and all my materials and resources are immediately available to make tuition as effective as possible.
I believe in taking a very individual approach to tutoring, adapting approaches and resources to fit the needs of the individual. Prior to commencing tuition we will agree tuition goals and I will work with these to develop a personalized scheme of learning. During tuition I will monitor student progress and keep records of this so that learning and attainment can be tracked and approaches can be continually adapted to meet the developing needs of the learner.
However, most importantly of all, I believe learning should be fun. I am friendly and approachable and I work hard to ensure students enjoy having tuition, which ultimately will maximize the progress they make.

My background as a manager and team leader in childcare environments has equipped me with the skills to effectively support children’s learning and growth. I have a deep understanding of early childhood theories, particularly attachment theory and child protection, which I explored in my education. My hands-on experience includes working with children with special educational needs, allowing me to tailor my approach to meet individual needs.
In addition to my practical experience, I have a strong foundation in communication, having engaged with children, families, and multi-agency teams. This makes me well-suited to tutor child development concepts, guiding learners through important topics and fostering a deeper understanding of the child’s journey from infancy to early years. My passion for supporting children's development is further demonstrated by my commitment to teaching sign language to children, helping them to express themselves and connect with others.

To be a tutor it is deeply rewarding both personally and professionally. At its core, tutoring allows you to make a real difference in someone’s life by helping them grow in confidence, understanding, and academic success. Watching a student grasp a concept they once struggled with is a powerful and fulfilling experience.

Targeted for GCSE French students. My lessons tailor to individual learning needs of my students within the 4 language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Attention will also be given to pronunciation, an aspect that school children need much chance to work on. Objectives are to strengthen their base while filling in gaps in their knowledge. Lessons will be injected with extra material on language knowledge and interest facts on French cultural to liven the study.
I worked in schools for more than 20 years. Apart from being a subject teacher I also run an in-school language centre. Finding out students' ability and catering to their learning needs is my strength. I love to see them overcoming obstacles and excel in their study. It is part of the things that sustains my passion in teaching.
