As an experienced teacher with over 12 years experience in both the state and independent sector, I am able to provide support with English Language or English Literature. I have prepared pupils for AQA GCSE, WJEC GCSE and also the IGCSE examinations.

DrummingWithOli is an independent drum tuition business, founded by Oli. A popular music graduate from Leeds Conservatoire, in 2020. Having been playing since the age of 6, with experience in drumming in venues across Leeds, recording for local artists, playing in pit bands for amateur theatre productions and regularly playing at church since the age of 12, Oliver is well equipped to teach students from beginner to advanced levels of any age. Oliver has also a merit in both grade 8 in drum practical, and grade 5 theory.

I have had experience working in primary schools for almost two years now, working with children with SEND and SEMH difficulties as well as other children to help them achieve their full academic potential. I have delivered 1:1 and small group based interventions in age ranges from 4 years old in their early years all the way up to 11 in the run up to SATs. I have spent a lot of time working with children who had the academic level of several years below their age group however after sometime of 1:1 intervention they have thrived and caught up with their peers. Not only have I worked with children for their academics but I have also worked with children to help give them the opportunity to learn self regulation and mental health support. This has come from a wide range of support programmes such as zones of regulation and social detective. I pride myself on how fun and engaging I like to make my time with children and with how much of a difference emotion coaching can make to their lives. In the run up to SATS I worked in delivering intervention based lessons to our cusp students to help them go on to achieve greater depth in their SATs but also to help children who believed they couldn’t do their SATs.
I am currently a PhD Student in Computing at Sheffield Hallam University (SHU), also to start work as a Graduate training assistant in the Computing department at SHU. I possess a master's degree with Distinction in Computer Science. Prior to the commencement of my PhD at SHU, I'd worked as a lecturer in Computer Science in a Nigerian public University for 9 years teaching a range of undergraduate Computer Science courses that cut across Computer programming, Artificial intelligence, Operations research, Mathematics for Computer Science and Web programming. I also garnered a 1-year experience teaching Mathematics and Computer studies in a Nigerian public secondary school where I prepared the students for WAEC exams. I must attest that they performed excellently.
C. Lok Lam Daphne
Daphne was born in Hong Kong. She started to learn piano at age of five. And she gained the Diploma of ABRSM in piano perform and piano accompaniment in early years, she holds Licentiate of the Trinity College of Music London (ATCL) in piano performance, she also gets singing grade eight of the ABRSM, She is studying in the Bachelor of Music at Kingston University in Hong Kong University , and she gets Professional Diploma in Chinese University, Diploma Program in Performance Practice .
She went to Poland to further her study. She spent years visiting masterclasses and sit in lessons in different academies. In year 2000, She performed with Allegro Singers in Salzburg.
Years before she was attracted by Prof. Stephen Wong's was attracted by his flawless piano technique , and beautiful melodies she decided to study from him as a life~long teacher.
In recent years, Daphne has been active as a music educator, performer and accompanies. She actively performed with local chamber orchestra in charity concerts, tours at local kindergartens and primary schools, promoting classical music to Hong Kong audience and raising funds for charity.
Learning any instrument should be a fun and rewarding experience, I am passionate about music and hope to pass this onto all the students I teach.
I have been teaching guitar, bass and ukulele since 2000. Throughout this time, I have worked with several different organisations. These include the Derbyshire City and County Music Partnership, Sheffield Music service, HI Gain Guitar school and Harmony Music school. At present I still work along side the Sheffield Music Service as an accredited teacher. This gives me access to professional development courses as well as an enhanced DBS certificate. A recent observation judged my lessons as outstanding.
Through teaching guitar, I have had the pleasure of see many of my students grow into well round musicians performing in bands and working in the music industry. Students range from beginner to established players looking to refine their skills. Everyone is welcome, and I teach students from the age of 7 right through to retired people looking for a new challenge.
Through teaching guitar, I have been interviewed for the guitar tutor magazine as well as being feature in the Guitar techniques magazine.
Aside from teaching I have worked in many bands over my career playing in venues across the country from theatres to clubs and everything in between. One of my claims to fame is performing in front of both Prince William and Prince Harry.
As well as teaching and gigging, I also work for the London College of music as an examiner. For this I travel around the country conducting exams in Guitar, Bass and Ukulele from the beginner stage right through to diplomas in performance and teaching. This work has not only seen me travel across the U. K but I have also completed 2 exam tours of Australia and New Zealand as well as trips to Greece, Cyprus and Ireland.
