I have successfully marked the 2024 Pure Maths EDEXCEL Paper One. (I also have a certificate from EDEXCEL to confirm my successful marking of A Level Maths (MECHANICS ) from 2015 to 2018 )

I was a tutor at Wiltshire College for 14 years, then taught Mathematics and Science in the field of Military Science at MOD for another 14 years to 2012. This has given me a superb appreciation of the practical applications of my subjects in many situations. For example Doppler Radar and sensor circuits to identify speed and direction of enemy targets.
I have experience of being an Examiner and Moderator in A Level Physics too.

I prefer tutoring in Advanced Level Maths/Further Maths/Stats/Physics.

I recommend that students do extra work set by me which I will mark and give feedback to student and parent.

At St Aldates College, Oxford, I taught A Level Maths and Physics for 6 years at an international Independent school.
At Wiltshire College, I was responsible for setting up a Mathematics Study Centre. I have a vast experience of one-to-one tuition and the negotiation of learning programs with indiviual students.
I have taught on a wide range of courses at Advanced Level: Pure Maths, Mechanics, Further Maths, Statistics and Physics.

I am an MSc Psychology student having completed my undergraduate degree at Bath Spa University (achieving a 2:1). As a dyslexic, I have learned many strategies to break down topics and linguistic barriers to ensure I understand the material thoroughly. Since I have always enjoyed working with young people had previously worked part time in a Preschool as an Art Specialist, I decided to join a private tutoring agency in London, students would come to my studio inLondon and I would support them through their GCSE’s. Having enjoyed working with slightly older students so much, I decided to apply for an Artist in residence position at Garden House School in London.
At this point I had enjoyed teaching students from EYSF through to Key Stage 3 to 4 as well as myexperience giving ‘mindfulness art workshops‘ to adults in London’s members clubs; a programme I ran independently in a quest inspire young adults to maintain their wellbeing through the process of abstract painting.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all my teaching experiences thus far, the combination of being an artist,working with very young children where playfulness is at the heart of development and up to GCSEwhen students are thinking about pursuing a career in this wonderful subject. It became moreapparent that a job as an Art teacher where I could continue to apply and develop my creativity,motivation and ambition was perfectly suited to me.
Upon this discovery, I have begun to invest some more time and energy into helping work, after myposition as an artist in residence at garden House Primary School in London I began a counselling course which was online as a result of COVID 19, I also qualified as an Art Therapy Coach. Hi there, I'm Ellen. I have taught in mainstream and grammar secondary schools since 2010 and tutored privately from KS2 - KS5 in French, Spanish, English, Maths and 11+ for over 10 years. I hold a BA Joint Honours from Cardiff University in French and Spanish, PGCE and TSST Secondary Maths qualification. I was previously the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, therefore I am Level 3 Safeguarding trained. I have also worked as a holiday nanny for over 10 years in the south of France for children between the ages of 6 months to 18 years of age. I have three children of my own.
