Maths, Spanish, English, and Eleven Plus lessons in London, UK.
NHS Doctor with over 10 years of experience studying and completing exams and over 7 years teaching Maths, Biology and Chemistry for KS3, GCSE and A Level. My tuition approach is listed below.
Each lesson begins with a run-through of the topic and explanation of key concepts with opportunities for pupils to ask questions. Students are then provided with high yield exam questions and worksheets to complete. Questions are then marked together to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement. An emphasis is always maintained on exam technique during each lesson. Assessments to determine student improvement are provided every 4-6 weeks.
All students are taught how to study effectively using two evidence-based study techniques:
1) Active Recall - Here students create useful revision questions to test their memory of certain topics
2) Spaced Repetition - Here students are taught how to strategically review topics regularly and boost their chances of remembering important exam content throughout the year and leading up to exams.
My classes are always tailored with a personalised programme for each and every student and remain friendly and engaging. All resources including specialised notes for each exam board, revision questions and exam question related to the tutees exam board are provided free of charge. Tuition goes beyond the `hour slot` as students are able to contact me via phone, email and tutor hunt messaging. I also remain engaged with the lesson and do not `clock-watch`.

I studied a Bachelor´s degree in English Studies at University of Salamanca and last year I did a Masters in Education. Currently I´m studying a Masters in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have five year experience in teaching both English and Spanish to kids around the ages of 14 to 18. I have also worked as a teaching assistant in both Spain and London for a year. Hi everyone, my name is Ta’Liyah and I'm a passionate person with a strong background in GCSE and A-Level English literature, GCSE and A-Level Psychology, GCSE Spanish and quite good in English language GCSE. I love helping students grasp challenging concepts and watching them succeed. With my patient and supportive approach, I tailor my tutoring to fit each student's learning/revision style. I am a Spanish native speaker from Cadiz, Andalusia, living and teaching in London for more than 5 years now. I started teaching Spanish as a private tutor and, since 2017, I work in a well-known and sucessful independent school in London, NLCS.
My experience in this school as well as my studies at University back me up to guarentee meaningful and well prepared Spanish lessons, focusing on the concrete specification that the student is doing at school, since I am familiar with all of them.
As the situation is not suitable for 1-2-1 lessons in person, I am ofering them online. My IT skills and experience teaching online in the summer term in my school allows me to say that I can offer the same quality of lessons that will help you to achieve your goals.
