I offer fantastic online Spanish tutoring lessons. I use a variety of engaging techniques to help instil a love of Spanish in each pupil, from presentations on different vocabulary topics, to high quality listening practice to test your linguistic ear to friendly conversation practice. These lessons cover the four key facets of modern language learning: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
I have had years of experience tutoring my younger sister in Spanish and have had great success with other pupils too. As well as this, I have an excellent grasp of the Spanish language shown by my achievement of 97% in my SQA Advanced Higher Spanish exam (Scottish equivalent of A-Levels)!

I am a fully qualified secondary school Spanish and French teacher from Scotland. I specialise in tutoring ages 11-18 ans I provide specific help for those sitting SQA exams at National 5 and Higher level. I also provide talking practice at AH level.

About Me:
I have an Honours Degree in Spanish & French from the University of Exeter, and a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics & Second Language Acquisition (aka. how people learn foreign languages) from the University of Oxford.
I have been tutoring and helping students get the top grades in languages for over 5 years now.
I love to see my students grow in confidence, excel in Spanish, and become empowered learners who thrive in education.
I have seen lots of students struggle in GCSE languages, and I strongly believe that the thing that makes the biggest difference to struggling students is having a plan.
You don't have to struggle through on your own. When students are attending lessons and doing their homework but something just isn't clicking and their grades start falling behind their other subjects, they are simply missing the tools they need to be successful in this subject.
Spanish is a skill, and has to be learned differently from other subjects. The longer they try and struggling along on their own, the more catch up they eventually need to do.

Harriet lived in Spain on the Costa Blanca for sixteen years where she grew up speaking the Spanish language with fluency. During this time Harriet taught at an International Language School in Spain and decided to return to the UK, where she was educated at Rugby School and then went on to obtain her degree in Spanish at the University of Chester.
In 2010 she set up The Spanish Academy, offering Spanish tuition to adults & children of all ages, and also became a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. With over a decade working in education and private tuition, I have extensive experience in preparing students for National exams. Academically, I focus on English Language and Literature, French and Spanish. I also have a wealth of experience in successfully preparing students for the Foundation Tier Maths exam.
At GCSE and IGCSE level I have experience teaching all of the major exam boards including AQA, Pearson Edexcel, WJEC, CIE and OCR. There isn't a great deal of variation between the different boards in terms of content as GCSE level is largely standardised. Nevertheless it does help to be familiar with the variation in the emphasis of a particular syllabus and the format of the exam paper.

Each lesson begins with a run-through of the topic and explanation of key concepts with opportunities for pupils to ask questions. Students are then provided with high yield exam questions and worksheets to complete. Questions are then marked together to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement. An emphasis is always maintained on exam technique during each lesson. Assessments to determine student improvement are provided every 4-6 weeks.
All students are taught how to study effectively using two evidence-based study techniques:
1) Active Recall - Here students create useful revision questions to test their memory of certain topics
2) Spaced Repetition - Here students are taught how to strategically review topics regularly and boost their chances of remembering important exam content throughout the year and leading up to exams.
My classes are always tailored with a personalised programme for each and every student and remain friendly and engaging. All resources including specialised notes for each exam board, revision questions and exam question related to the tutees exam board are provided free of charge. Tuition goes beyond the `hour slot` as students are able to contact me via phone, email and tutor hunt messaging. I also remain engaged with the lesson and do not `clock-watch`.

I am friendly, approachable and enjoy making learning meaningful for pupils. My lessons begin with starting activities to recap the previous learning, identify any misconceptions. Moving onto the main part of the lesson I plan activities promoting fluency in the skill then application to a real-life situation or worded exam-style question. Games and quizzes can be fun and useful in testing rapid recall.

Hello, I'm Rosana, I am a doctor in organic chemistry, passionate about chemistry. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in UCD, Ireland and as a secondary job I offer basic chemistry, organic and advance chemistry (synthetic, medicinal, NMR, etc) and spanish ( I am native) classes at all levels. My methodology depends on each student, which I will evaluate in each class. In the first part of the classes I teach theory so that you can understand in depth the topics you want or need to learn and then you practice. After working as an Au-Pair in France and spending a year teaching in Spain I went onto work in business as a Spanish Market Analyst. I lived and worked in Spain from 2008 until 2023 teaching mostly English. I have covered all ages of students in teaching anything from fun grammar and vocabulary games to exam preparation. Exam preparation is something I specialise in and have helped many students pass exams through Cambridge main suite and young learners, Trinity, TEOFL, IELTS and GSCE.
My values in teaching other people are very important and I stand by them with every pupil. It should be at least a little bit fun too! For people to want to learn, there needs to be some curiosity in the mind and curiosity is a fundamental part of being human. It makes us think and say” Hey, what’s this?” or “What 's that? It’s the real gateway to knowledge. Nevertheless, it can only happen when a certain door is opened and questions asked. It’s those questions that fire and excite the mind!
I have been in the field of education for some years. I was trained for teaching at the Primary Education level, specialising in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at the University of Salamanca (Salamanca, Spain). Apart from spending 4 months in two Spanish schools developing my internship.
