Terms and conditions
I pride myself on building up a good working relationship with my clients. Since tutoring is normally for a period of some months as examinations approach and in the interests of fair play for both parties, I've set out some key points regarding charges and cancellations during the tutoring period.
Charges
A-Level sessions are delivered online weekly via Teams in one-hour blocks. Charges reflect my qualifications, experience and the way my sessions are tailored to each individual student’s needs, making them highly effective at boosting learning, confidence and grades. Knowing all the misconceptions and pitfalls on content and structuring examination questions makes all the difference and it is vital that tutoring is effective for the student.
I am happy to offer each new client one free initial assessment and discussion session to assess the needs and type of help required plus it gives you a chance to see how I work and fit in with your requirements. There is no obligation on either side to continue after this first session.
Cancellations Policy
Once a regular slot has been booked for the student, the same time every week, I will endeavour always to be available to tutor them. There is scope for discussion if a session needs to be rearranged (24 hours requested), subject to my availability.
From time to time, flexibility on both sides is required due to life events and unexpected occurrences. This may involve cancellation of a particular session or the need to reschedule and I will always try to accommodate if I can do so.
Teaching is my passion. My purpose in life is to create a positive environment in the world. I love to teach children and students of any age group. I have also been associated with Brahma kumaris (World Spiritual Organisation) for 7 years. I have a profound understanding of my subjects, adeptly tailor instruction to diverse learning styles, fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment and effective communication. I also encourages critical thinking and empower students. Over the past six years, I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of subjects to students from diverse backgrounds. This experience has honed my ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, foster a positive learning environment, and adapt my teaching methods to individual student needs. Additionally, I recently authored my first book, "One Light and the Angelic World," which has further enhanced my knowledge and passion for sharing knowledge with others. Leadership
Developed and led the delivery of new departmental strategies and schemes of work by 3 other RS specialists’ and a HLTA. Mentored NQT’s. The role of Head of Department has seen me develop into an assertive leader who is able to adapt, appease and when needed address problems head on i. e. I led the department through a complete redesign of Curriculum and developed the materials and resources to ease this change along. This has also involved delegating some tasks, setting deadlines and monitoring progress. Creativity and strategic planning

Involved in planning cross curricular projects with other departments and projects with local Primary schools. In 2010 I was also asked to participate in the ‘Celebrating RE’ month in March 2010 as a RE Champion for Essex. Following this I co-organised and ran two Philosophy conferences for A Level students as well as an evening community lecture. As part of my whole school role I have mentored other departments and lead staff training on demonstrating SMSC in lessons.

Acted as a school based PGCE mentor in my previous post and NQT mentor. Delivered whole school training on outstanding teaching and SMSC. Led Twilight CPD sessions on thinking skills, group work, independent learning and Sixth Form teaching and learning strategies. Developed strategies for monitoring of student target setting and tracking within the department, something I have now introduced into my pastoral role. In the academic year 2011-2012 I was asked to mentor other departments to raise standards of teaching and learning and leadership and management. This was very successful with the Design and Technology department going from being unsatisfactory to receiving a good in our recent Ofsted.

I really enjoyed my lessons with Ms Meliz and they were very productive. I had taken sociolgy as a 4th subject in the last 6 months of my A2 course and joined Ms meliz 15 days before my exams. So I had to cover a 2 year course in a very short time and initially aimed for getting a B but because of her effective teaching style and precise notes I was able to aim for an A/A*. I had tried studying sociolgy from other tutors but didn’t really understand it and if it wasn’t for Ms Meliz I wouldn’t have even thought of getting an A.

My situation was quite a unique one, I had contacted Meliz a couple weeks before my final A level exams and I was self-teaching both AS and A2 Sociology in 1 year. Due to my inability to travel, I was still able to get effective sessions via online lessons. Meliz is an excellent teacher. When our son, who tends to be very sensitive and picky about his teachers, said he really enjoys working with Meliz and that he feels that he gets a lot out of the lessons. He says that Meliz is able to communicate the concepts to him in ways that were different than those that his regular teachers used, and that this helped him understand the concepts much more easily. In addition to this Meliz helps him to revise with different techniques. We highly recommend her.
