I am writing to apply for a position as a tutor in your educational institution to guide its learners to cater their learning needs.
Not only have I just completed a Certificate in Education and Training (CET) level 4 but also gained and enhanced teaching methods and strategies to help learners reach all small achievable learning outcomes that stretch their knowledge and skills.
I have completed CET programme level 4 in Hopwood Hall College (in The UK) in June 2022. During my work placement in Rochdale campus, I taught Maths Functional skills to Pre-Entry and Entry 1 levels in ESOL department.
My planning, preparation and delivery are all learner centred, and I used blended resources and blended learning to engage learners in any activities, including the traditional face to face delivery. Furthermore, I create and conduct my teaching in a safe and secure learning environment, comfortable learning set up considering the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). Each learner's opinion, feedback, concern counts for my next planning, preparation and delivery.
Active learning, interactive activities and a group product/result engage learners in a classroom setting and always help them be focused and inclusive in learning all but current and sufficient homework facilitates learners to run their learning at own pace, and take control over the place, the time and the activities which are more productive for them. When a learning activity is taken by choice, any learner is much motivated and completely engaged.
Not only do I use blended resources during my sessions to meet learners’ needs but also run blended learning, including some applications such as Team, Zoom and other emerging technology to combine my teaching with the traditional method "face to face" to deliver my sessions and meet my learners' needs in attendance of my sessions. I take register as an administrative teaching step and also as a strategy to motivate learners to attend sessions. Furthermore, I use observation. learners' feedback, group product, group discussion and other methods to assess my learners, identify their needs and set up learning action plans. I record learners' progress and liaised with colleagues, support staff and relevant third parties to monitor learners' progress, for the interests of learners. Also, I motivate my learners by taking learning to real life scenarios and I guide them reach all the small achievable learning objectives in every activity. I guide each learner to gain skills, above all, with projection that these skills would be used in learners' future (give them skills for life).
After having returned home to Jerez de la Frontera (South Spain) in December 2014 from Ascot Berkshire, I set up my own learning centre "Study S Juan Grande" that I run between September 2015 and April 2020. There I taught Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology to Bachillerato II (A2 level) and prepared leaners for the final state exam – the University entry exam “la selectividad”. I also taught some modern languages: English, French and Russian. I prepared learners for Cambridge (FCE and PET) exams and French DELF (B2 and B1) certificates which they sat successfully. Moreover I taught Russian to adult learners at Elementary level to help them cater their travel needs.
In relation to academic training, I hold a PhD degree in plant biology and have experience in research on plant biology in laboratory environments for more than 6 years. Furthermore, in a teaching field, I am a multi-skilled FE lecturer, and I have experience in and am able to teach Maths, biology, chemistry and Physics to 16+ learners in situ in the college, remotely using emerging technology such as Team, Zoom and other and run hybrid teaching (in situ and virtual). Also, I have experience in and am able to facilitate the learning of French, English and Russian to adult learners in a FE setting.
My UK DBS, including its update services expired on 10 March 2022, however, I do hope that through your organisation, I will be able to apply for one at low cost. Since I moved back to the UK in September 2020 after running my own educational centre at home in Jerez de la Frontera (South Spain) from Sept 2015 to April 2020, I hold the Spanish DBS (el certificado de antecedentes penales), which provides some lines of evidence that I am legally allowed to work with young people.
As I am a Spanish citizen living in the UK, I hold a UK pre-settlement status valid till 8 January 2026, which allows me to take employment in the United Kingdom.

I look forward to joining your teaching staff, liaising with support staff and relevant third parties during my teaching spell in your organisation for the interests of learners.
