I believe all students can reach their maximum potential if time is taken to find the learning style best suited to them. No question is a silly question and I am happy to help even outside of teaching time where possible. I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Leeds, so I know a thing or two about working hard. It hasn’t been easy to get to this position but with the right mentorship, I believe anything is possible. My teaching style will consist of a range of learning the knowledge as well as applying it through active recall, mini tests (scores do not matter) and past paper questions which can be worked through independently as well as with me. I believe variation is key to finding the best learning style for a student as well as being aware that we all make mistakes and they are there to learn from. I have both mentorship and tutoring experience having taken part in a programme in college to help struggling GCSE students. Many of them managed to exceed their expectations and one student even jumped from a 5 in Maths to an 8 in GCSE with the right teaching methods. In terms of tutoring, I have 1 year of experience teaching students of all abilities. Each student has had their grade increase by at least 1 and their confidence and willingness to learn has improved considerably. No matter your confidence level, I will be able to help you. I am excited to be able to help other students achieve the grades they deserve and are capable of. |
