About My Lessons: I have taught 8 students in total so far, most at GCSE level. My approach to tutoring is a personalized and student-centered method. Every student has their unique learning style, pace, and areas of strength and weakness. I start by assessing their current understanding of the subject matter and identifying any gaps in their knowledge. From there, I design customized lesson plans and practice exercises to address those gaps while also building on their existing skills. I encourage active participation and provide plenty of opportunities for students to ask questions and engage with the material. My lessons are usually 40 minutes to an hour. More About Me: I aim to empower students to develop not only a deeper understanding of Maths concepts but also the confidence and problem-solving skills needed to excel in their academic journey. Giving students the chance and help I was given, to reach their potential. I started tutoring when I volunteered to help with two Year 10 students struggling with their maths while in Sixth Form during the 2021 Lockdown. I also volunteered as a teaching assistant and helper at a special educational needs school through a student-led organisation raising awareness for those with disabilities and special needs. As mentioned previously, I've taken on 8 students last year who have achieved their target grades for their GCSEs/end of year tests (for KS3 and Year 10). |
