As a dedicated Year 1 teacher, I bring passion, care, and unwavering commitment to every aspect of my teaching. My teaching philosophy centres around truly knowing and understanding each individual child. I take the time to build meaningful relationships, recognising their interests, learning styles, and emotional needs. Whether it’s providing a calm, reassuring presence or delivering a challenge that sparks curiosity, I adapt my lessons to ensure that every child is supported and stretched in the right way. I am passionate about designing learning experiences that are creative, relevant, and rooted in both curriculum expectations and the unique personalities of the children I teach.
My specialism in phonics allows me to give children a strong start in their literacy journey, but my work extends far beyond this. I regularly incorporate cross-curricular links and hands-on activities that bring learning to life, helping children make connections and retain knowledge. I monitor progress closely, using both formal assessments and daily observations, to ensure my pupils are continually moving forward in their development.
While my current role is in Year 1, I also have valuable experience working with children across Key Stage 2. This broader perspective has deepened my understanding of how learning evolves over time and enables me to tailor my teaching with future progression in mind. It allows me to support not just where children are now, but where they’re heading.
At the heart of my teaching is a genuine love for helping children succeed—not just academically, but emotionally and socially too. I care deeply about the children I teach, and I never stop striving to give them the very best start. Every lesson, every interaction, and every day is an opportunity to make a positive impact, and I am proud to be a part of each child’s journey.
Hi! My name is Beth and I'm currently a student at the University of Nottingham studying Cancer Sciences with hopes to go in to cancer research. I have experience working with my own siblings and helping them with their studies especially at primary school
I'm currently a year 2 teacher but have experience in all lower primary teaching. I have been teaching for over 3 years and am eager to help students reach their full potential.
If you choose me to help your child reach their potential then I can promise you that in return you will get a teacher who is passionate, caring and knowledgeable. I have worked in school and have experience with various year groups from Reception all the way to Year 6.
My lessons are planned by me and I tailor them to your child's needs. I complete regular assessments with your child and use this to inform my planning. You will receive lesson resources prior to the lesson as well as homework if requested. Then after the session I always make sure I send personalised feedback. Communication is very important to me!
I always offer a 30 mins free getting to know me session so that your child can meet me on zoom and ensure that we are a good match.

It is my passion teaching children things from phonics to how to be kind to one another and setting a good example. I have over 4 years experience working with children, providing 5 star entertainment at childrens birthday parties and events along with teaching at a theatre school for 2 years. With my experience of children in the classroom and within a fun environemnt i believe this gives me the building blocks to tutor children and get them exceeding all of their goals!
