I am an extremely successful Psychology teacher, and examiner, with 25 years experience. I teach any level. I have taught in very prestigious private schools and also in state education. I am the current Head of Psychology at an excellent school. My students, consistently, acheive within the top 5% in the country. Past students have achieved the top score in the UK at A Level. I am a Team Leader for A Level Psychology with the examination board. I can provide a bespoke service for students, working with them to acheive their goals.

I am an experienced tutor who has been teaching English to students for over ten years. I specialise in KS3 and GCSE however also have many KS2 and A-Level students, too. A Level Chemistry Tuition
I was a very successful Head of Department and since retirement I have been giving private lessons to students in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, either in their own home or from my home in Loscoe, near Heanor and am also available to provide online tuition via WhatsApp to students located anywhere in the world.
I tutor both home educated and school children and am familiar with all the major syllabi, such as Nuffield, Edexcel and AQA.
I tutor Chemistry up to 'A' Level and Science to GCSE / SATs level and I like to make the sessions both enjoyable and challenging, believing that creating a relaxed, fun learning environment aids the learning process.
As part of the chemistry classes I include techniques for achieving good results in your exam, such as revision techniques and the best approach when answering exam questions.

I have experience teaching both online and face to face for GCSE and A level Biology. I like to tailor lessons to the student and their learning needs- I can suggest topics but I am equally happy to be guided by them if there is something they want to cover. I like to involve the student in the learning process. I will start off by asking students to tell me what they know before building on it, this way i can focus more on what the student doesn't already know or understand. I take a patient and understanding approach with students to help them feel relaxed in sessions.
What lessons are like is variable. For topics that may be new for the student, I would spend most of the lesson teaching them the subject matter. For topics that they may know a bit, I can test their understanding or can help with practice questions. If it's closer to exam time, then either going over past papers in the lesson, or if they attempt one in their own time then I can go over anything they didn't understand, or help them revise any subject that they want to at the time. Overall I think this tailored approach helps students feel like their lessons are useful and hopefully they can enjoy them too!

I hold a PhD from Imperial College London. have a strong academic track record and have led cutting-edge research teams in projects for multinational pharmaceutical and biotech companies including Unilever, GlaxoSmithKline, Zeneca, Novartis and others. I have published scientific research which has been cited over 2200 times in the peer-reviewed literature and I serve on the Editorial Boards of four reputable international scientific journals. Previous A'level results are: 100% A*-C, 85% A*-A, 8% B, 7% C. 100% of students got into their first choice universities and 31% achieved placed in medical school. These grades are representative of the results achieved in previous years. 2023 GCSE results were 100% grades 9-7 from students taking higher level papers and 100% grade 5 from students sitting the foundation level papers (the highest grade they could attain).
I have been a full-time tutor for the past eleven years and I am a past Vice-President of The Tutors' Association, the professional body for the tuition industry. I was elected into this position by members of the tutoring profession. I tutor as a full-time profession.

Tutoring Approach
I offer tuition either online or face-to-face at my home, where I have an area which is free from distractions and all my materials and resources are immediately available to make tuition as effective as possible.
I believe in taking a very individual approach to tutoring, adapting approaches and resources to fit the needs of the individual. Prior to commencing tuition we will agree tuition goals and I will work with these to develop a personalized scheme of learning. During tuition I will monitor student progress and keep records of this so that learning and attainment can be tracked and approaches can be continually adapted to meet the developing needs of the learner.
However, most importantly of all, I believe learning should be fun. I am friendly and approachable and I work hard to ensure students enjoy having tuition, which ultimately will maximize the progress they make.

I am an experienced tutor with a PhD in Molecular Biology and a 1st Class Biology degree, both from the University of Nottingham. I am currently employed in a local secondary school where I provide 1:1 and small group GCSE tuition. I also have a full DBS check. I am offering online tutoring to all students - I use screen sharing combined with video chat - you will see the work that we are doing on the screen and I will talk you through everything the same as if I were sat next to you. I am happy to send over any work the day before if you wanted to print it out as well as seeing it on the screen. I have been tutoring maths and science from KS2 through to A-level and have had some fantastic results with students. One of my KS3 students has increased 20% on their latest school tests after just 12 weeks tuition and other students have been complimented on their achievements or moved up a set. My A-level students are doing fantastically, with one having moved from D`s and E`s to B`s.

About myself
I am a 3rd year medical student in the University of Nottingham, who is always seeking new challenges and experiences. Within the university, I was a 2nd year representative of Medsoc, as well as President of Korean society, helping students settle better in the university and guiding them through academics. I was also appointed as student ambassador, helping with the admissions team of the medical school by carrying out interviews for the candidates. Outside of University, I worked as a tutor, helping teach students for GCSE subjects and medical school applications. I am keen to gain more experience in different fields of work and use this as an opportunity to grow as a helpful, empathetic leader in society.

I studied classical vocal technique for 15 years with Howard Milner, and supplemented this with private language training (French and Russian), repertoire coaching with Floral Opera, Summer International Summer Music school (four years) and further training with Jeffrey Talbot and Neil Howlett. I worked as Area Leader for Sing Up in Lincolnshire and am currently the visiting singing teacher for a large secondary academy in Nottingham as well as being a vocal tutor at University of Lincoln. I have performed in professional opera companies in the UK, and performed recitals and gala concerts throughout the UK and in Northern Italy. I teach classical styles, as well as music theatre, jazz, folk, pop/rock.
