Welcome to East Midlands Drum Tuition, a place to learn, have fun and develop as a drummer. My name is Tom W. (Ba Hons Music and Qualified Teacher, QTS qualification) and I have been teaching for 20 years. As well as teaching drums, I am also a qualified classroom music teacher so you can be confident that your lessons will be professional and taught by an experienced and qualified teacher.

I offer high quality drum tuition for all ages and abilities. Whether you are learning for fun, wanting to complete grades or an experienced drummer wanting to develop your skills.
One to one lessons and group lessons available. Home lessons available. Weekly and fortnightly lessons welcomed. All styles covered and video lessons available if you are a long distance learner.

Online lessons are a great way to learn the drums in the comfort of your own home. Lessons are conducted from our drum studio using acoustic drums that are captured using multiple professional microphones and then mixed through Logic Pro, giving the student very high-quality audio. Before the lesson, you will receive an email with any materials required such as PDF's and worksheets. Andrew Jays School of Music is a family run music school covering Surrey and South London. Our Principle, Andrew, graduated from The BRIT Performaing Arts and Technology College (Jessie J, Adele, Any Winehouse are past students) and is also a performing solo singer. We are pround to have passionate and talented teachers working alongside us, so our students also gain knowledge from their performance experience.
We hold exams with ABRSM and Trinity College London of which we have a 100% pass rate!

If you’ve come to get you’re groove on you’ve come to the right place! My name is Jack, I'm 23 and have been playing drums for 14 years. I learnt how to play drums at a music school when I was 9 up on till I was 20 where I did 7 grades getting distinctions and merits. I have also played live all over Birmingham in bands and for the music school I used to go. I can teach you how to read and write music as well as playing by ear. The first lesson is free so you can decide if you’re interested.
I have learnt to play in a range of styles from heavy hitting rock to smooth jazz. As well as R&B, rap and dance music, so there's a wide range of music to learn and explore! As I said reading and writing music will also be taught if interested. I have professional books which I still use for my own practice and will provide copies to practice with at home. If there are songs in particular you'd like to learn then that's fantastic as you can then show off your favourite songs!
I am a very patient person so will go at your own pace whether you're new to drums or experienced; we all learn in different ways. The main thing is to have fun and hopefully love drums as much as I do! Drums are the back beat of any song, keeping the time and rhythm which in my opinion makes us the most important player.
