Hi! My names Ellie and I specialise in English language/literature. My passion for the subject runs deep and I have a fairly flexible schedule to help meet the needs of those requiring my help.
Working in secondary school almost 17 years (local school and overseas) granted me valuable opportunities to teach a variety of courses, including EAL English, Business Studies, Liberal Studies (Humanities), Economics, Geography and Integrated Business. Among the most satisfying experiences for me as a teacher has been instructing student to understand, analyze and practice their knowledge properly and successfully.
Through my teaching thus far, I have found the method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching.
I have been a teacher of English for 3 years - teaching KS3-GCSE. I am familiar with the AQA and Eduqas iGCSE specifications. I have achieved excellent results for GCSE students. I prioritise find gaps, chunking information down and building confidence.
At Tutortoo we help students of all ages and abilities, in all subjects face to face and online. In December we won best Online Child Tutoring Newtork in the UK and also the Excellence Award For Child Education Support Services in the UK.
We provide written reports after each session.

Our aim is to stretch and challenge all students and develop their thinking and application skills to meet the requirements for the results they want to achieve.

My name is Maddy and I have been a teacher since 2014. I am a happy, fun and lively individual who loves to spend time with my family but mainly, my adorable golden retriever Lola. (Photo on my profile)
I have tutored both Maths and English from reception age all the way up to GCSE in maths and Year 6 SATS in English. I tailor my lesson to suit the child and always strive to bring fun to the lessons, as I believe this encourages the children to learn. I have a wealth of experience teaching 1:1 and in groups.
