I enjoy using my QTS to help people learn new skills which will enhance their lives. This may be to improve their ability in maths., their employment prospects or their ICT skills. In all cases, the teaching I provide may improve their quality of life.
My teaching philosophy is to try to spark interest in learners whilst retaining a clear goal: whether that be exam. success or a less formal, personal achievement. My substantial experience has been gained by working with primary, secondary school pupils and adults. Some of these learners have presented with special educational needs to which I have been able to adapt.
Away from work, I am a keen cyclist, walker and photographer.
I have mentored a year 7 and 8 in Maths. I am currently in my final year of school studying Maths, Spanish and Business at A-Level at an A* grade for all subjects.

We give them the skills to tackle the subject they are struggling with, fill in the gaps in their knowledge and help lead them along a pathway to success.
Our aim is to stretch and challenge all students and develop their thinking and application skills to meet the requirements for the results they want to achieve.

I have a Physics degree and nearly 20 years experience as a Maths teacher.
I mainly teach KS3 and KS4 Maths but I also have experience on A level Mathematics, I was Head of Department in two schools and Lead Practitioner on my previous one/ Currently and due to family circumstances, I teach in a local school KS3 and KS4 Maths.
I am from Spain and although I have not taught the language in schools, I can help with conversation work.
I am happy to help students who struggle with Maths but it will have to be online lessons or at my house.
My rates are £50 per hour for KS4 and £40 for KS3.

I have tutored both Maths and English from reception age all the way up to GCSE in maths and Year 6 SATS in English. I tailor my lesson to suit the child and always strive to bring fun to the lessons, as I believe this encourages the children to learn. I have a wealth of experience teaching 1:1 and in groups.
