I am a well-motivated, highly conscientious English teacher of students aged 9 to adult, including speakers of other languages. I want to inspire my learners to exceed expecations. I firmly believe that the key to excellent teaching and learning is to make the approach ‘student-centred'. I have taught English Language and Literature in independent and maintained schools for 31 years, preparing students for ISEB Common Entrance, SATs, GCSE and A Level. Additional experience includes teaching English to speakers of other languages, either for general purposes or in preparation for the University of Cambridge Examinations, KET, PET, FCE, CAE and CPE and IELTS. During my career, I have been a Head of Department and SENCO. Until recently, I have been based in schools but now wish to focus on online tutoring, which I believe suit a large number of learners extremely well. |
