I am a friendly and energetic teacher with over 10 years experience teaching students in both Primary and lower Secondary school. As I worked in international schools I can help students whose first language is not English I spent many years teaching Primary students the full curriculum and also taught mathematics to Years 7-9.
I can tutor A Level Law students having been a Solicitor for 16 years and a Barrister for 2 years.

I am an undergraduate Psychology student at the University of Exeter, with a strong academic background that includes completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and the IGCSE curriculum. In the IB, I pursued English A at a Higher Level, which honed my critical thinking and analytical skills, and further developed my passion for literature and language. Before that, I completed my IGCSEs, where I am part of the English Literature course. I also have a distinction in Chinese, reflecting my proficiency in bilingual communication, furthermore, I also speak Cantonese (dialect) fluently and Japanese (at a conversational level).
My international background, including time spent in Hong Kong, has shaped me both academically and personally. While there, I volunteered as an English tutor at a children’s home, working closely with young learners to improve their English skills. This hands-on teaching experience not only developed my ability to communicate complex concepts in an accessible way but also fostered my passion for education and helping others.
As I progress in my Psychology studies, I aim to blend my understanding of human behaviour with my passion for language and education, pursuing opportunities that allow me to apply both fields meaningfully. My academic achievements and diverse experiences have given me a well-rounded perspective that I am eager to continue developing.

I am an English teacher and tutor, with over 15 years teaching and tutoring experience, particularly in preparing students for success in GCSE and A-level English Language and Literature. I have taught in 11-18 secondary schools, a sixth form college, an FE college and in independent schools, where I have coached IB and ESL learners. I am an A-level English Literature examiner, having taught both A-level English Literature and A-level English Language extensively.
Currently, all my tutoring is done online. I use Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet and Google Classroom to teach my students, depending on the learner's preference. These platforms enable us to chat face to face via video link and give me the ability to share my screen and whiteboard. On Google Classroom, I set homework or assignments, providing my students with feedback and additional resources they would not usually receive with a regular tutoring session. Each student will have their own login for Google Classroom and resources will be tailored and personal to them.
Many of my students work on developing their knowledge, skills and confidence for GCSE and A-level English Language and Literature. I also teach exam preparation and intensive revision sessions during exam periods. I plan short or long-term courses to meet with students’ needs.

I worked as a primary school teacher for 14 years and loved sharing the learning journey with the young people I taught. My approach is often playful – there is so much to be learnt using games and humour – and success relies on building relationships, agreeing goals and together working out how to reach them. Sometimes the goal might just be to travel forwards and enjoy the journey; at other times there may be a more specific target.
The best moments as a teacher are “the lightbulb moments” when something clicks in the learning and new connections are made. My goal is always to instil self-confidence in learners, to build positively on what they already know and can do, and to help them to believe that they can learn whatever they want to learn.
I am a qualified and experienced teacher. Although I have worked in secondary/ middle schools, the majority of my teaching has been in primary schools. I have worked in mainstream schools with a wide range of children. I have coordinated enrichment programmes for gifted and talented pupils. I have supported pupils preparing for grammar school exams. I have written and managed education plans for learners with dyslexia and dyscalculia, autistic spectrum conditions and other social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
As a class teacher, I taught across the spectrum of the National Curriculum, with particular focus on progress in Reading, Writing and Maths. As the school coordinator for the teaching and learning of English for many years, I rolled out various strategies to develop reading for pleasure and to make the learning of grammar and spelling fun, fun, fun! Prior to that, I enjoyed roles as the school lead on Science, History and DT. However, my guilty pleasure is a love of numbers, the application of Maths, in games and puzzles, and the Art of Maths.

Hi my name is Obedullah www.*** You can call me www.*** I come from a family of teachers and tutors. I am extremely passionate about education and teaching, and my very first job was tutoring. I taught English Language, Economics and Mathematics from KS3 to GCSE level, EFL/ESL and as well as English Language as an elective course at university level. With all the subjects and modules combined, I have an experience of 8 years teaching. Previously, I have consistently improved grades for my students including at the GCSE level. I like to use multiple tutoring techniques to explain concepts based on the aptitude and skill level of my students. I am infinitely patient but like to get the job done on time. My goal would always be my student's overall improvement and development in skill, understanding and problem-solving. Making learning accessible, engaging and relevant is, in my opinion, fundamental to the success and the development of every child, supporting academic achievement and the nurturing of fully rounded individuals to be all they can be. For this to happen, I believe that our curriculum needs to be a relevant and rewarding experience; adapted to ensure inclusion and providing the opportunity to develop academically and personally while experiencing success and challenge on a day-to-day basis. It allows pupils to develop their confidence, self-esteem, organisation, and determination which they can transfer into other aspects of their lives. It is from this desire to do well and lead healthy lifestyles that further success can follow.
I have always had a passion for PE as a subject with many different aspects and opportunities for the wide range of children in the school to be challenged and to feel success. This has led me to opportunities to work beyond the school, something I think is crucial in order to reflect deeply on all aspects of teaching, learning and school leadership as well as to provide varied experiences for our children.
Throughout my career, I have valued strong pastoral systems in schools; I have experience at guiding pupils through the peaks and troughs that school life can afford. I have been an English Tutor for Foreign Language Students for almost four years now, but am looking to expand my expertise in tutoring to other students and languages. I am still very interested in teaching English langauge to Foreign Language Students, but would also like to share my Language skills and knowledge with other learners.
I studied French and Spanish as my undergraduate degree at the University of Exeter, where I graduated in 2023. This four-year degree has given me a great deal of confidence in both Languages, particualrly through having a Year Abroad where I worked as an English Teacher in a Secondary School and Professional College (teaching young adults). Alongside my degree, I consistently worked as an English Tutor and have built up my teaching style and resource bank for students. I am particularly proud of my students and what they have gone on to achieve - from developing their English language to allow them to build a life in England and flee from war-stricken areas, to nurtuting students to pass their TEFL qualifications and other various exams. I am a determined and (quite!) competitive individual, which I beleive rubs off onto students and encourages them to study and pass their GCSE's or A-level exams.
I have worked with children and young adults of all ages (from 4 years old to 22 years old) and have tutored adults in English Conversation Classes for nearly three years. I am therefore very adaptable when it comes to my students and their needs.
Last year, I passed my Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PgDL) with a Distinction, and I am happy to say that I am also available for tutoring in this disciplie.
