I have over 15 years experience in Teaching, and over 12 years experience in Private Tutoring. I currently offer both face-to-face in person tutoring for 1:1 or small groups. I cater for each child's specific needs through appropriate differentiation, and according to their individual interests. I strive to make the learning fun and engaging, and adapt the lesson as we go to ensure the most enjoyment and motivation. My lessons are usually 1 hour long, depending on the needs and abilities of the child and I cover the ages from KS1 up to GCSE in both English and Maths. I also offer home schooling sessions to individuals who are unable to access the mainstream education system, whether it be from a SEND need, a preference or from anxiety, for example. These sessions cover the Core subjects as well as teaching Life Skills such as cooking, woodwork and sewing etc. In addition to this, I offer discrete tutoring for adults in Maths and English (Reading).

My background is very diverse, and I have lived in Chile, France, South Korea, Spain, and Kazakhstan over the course of my life, gaining an understanding of the linguistic structures and grammatical rules of 6 languages throughout the process. After achieving a grade of 40/45 in the IB, I began a degree in BA French and Philosophy at UCL, graduating with first class honours and spending a year studying French Literature at the Sorbonne in Paris under some of the greatest minds in the field. I then taught English for a year in South Korea, during which time I gained a TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) qualification after only having studied the language for 5 months, and acquired significant expertise in working with students of all levels. I then moved to Barcelona to complete my masters degree, before completing an exchange in Kazakhstan, where I did field research with Russian draft-dodgers for an award-winning masters dissertation that has since been published. My English language writing skills are excellent, and I have a wealth of knowledge on foreign affairs, global history and literature across a number of languages.
