Hello, thank you for taking a careful look at my experience. I've taught for many years, many subjects, and in many countries. I've specifically taught preparation courses for the ACT and SAT, the American university entrance exams. I've also taught Chinese students to prepare for their highly competitive mathematics competitions. I've designed special course work, techniques, IEPs, and materials to meet a student's particular and profound learning disability (his mother said that of all the teachers, I made the most progress). My first tutoree came to me with an "F" in university calculus and I got her up to a "B-". I've taught all English levels and mathematical talents to students from all over Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. I know how to ask questions to reveal misconceptions and how to find evidence of understanding. I understand maths anxiety, how teach the approach to a problem and not just how to get an answer. I've written songs to help students remember the quadratic formula and trigonometric functions of which students have testified that they sang in their head while taking the SAT. I've invented games to develop maths concepts that students couldn't stop playing. I've developed coursework on mathematical psychology and game theory as part of a holistic curriculum which fascinated students. I've had years and years of PDs (Professional Development) from many schools in many countries. I'm familiar with the variety pedagogical philosophies and have more specifically given presentations on Deep Learning, Brain Based Learning, and holistic curricula. I have briefly taught in a Montessori school and am familiar with some of those alternative approaches as well. As a mathematician I've independently contributed to many proofs, techniques, an discoveries relating to Pythagorean relationships, Phi, Pi definitions, the complex number plane, analytic geometry, trigonometric identities, and geometric construction, and others. I am currently familiarizing myself with Ofsted standards. Before I've been accountable to US Common Core Standards, and the AERO standards.

Hi my name is Jeremy L. I’ve been teaching English for 35 years and a fair amount of it online, for the last 20 years. I teach English Language and Literature and English as a Foreign Language. I was head of English and senior English teacher in an international boarding school for over 18 years.
I now only teach online and I’m the founder of an educational training consultancy that offers a range of training for English language.
I have taught a wide range of courses to teenagers and to adult professionals. I also teach a range of examination courses. I also have developed a number of professional courses including the OET which is English for Medicine. I am a preliminary OET provider.

I am a Spanish teacher with 5 years experience teaching a variety of year groups from year 7-13 in Spanish and year 7-11 in French. I have 5 years experience teaching Spanish KS3, GCSE and A level and teaching French KS3 and GCSE.
I also have 2 years experience teaching English as an additional language and have prepared students in the past for their B1, B2 and C1 Cambridge English exams.

Of course, a massive part of my job is to help and alleviate your completely normal anxiety in answering exam questions under tough conditions, and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. I will indeed help you to recognise and deal effectively with exam trickery. My approach is based on 14 years’ experience that the best kind of learning happens in a state of flow or play! :) As a result, I always aim for a fun environment of respect in which the student is facilitated to make novel connections for themselves. My experience has been that one-to-one personal tuition has unique value to students because of my ability to innovatively resolve students’ personal barriers to absorbing new concepts in a way that lays the foundations for a profound future understanding of the subject. My approach does vary according to the student’s needs and learning style. However, my teaching philosophy is based on self-discovery, using real-world examples wherever possible as ultimately you are the self-teacher. I start from topics you are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as your confidence builds. I use questions and examples to concept check continually. I am a highly qualified and experienced teacher of German, currently teaching GCSE German privately, having recently taught both A level and GCSE at a girls' grammar school, and an independent school, achieving a high exam success rate (100% A-A* at the grammar school, and 100% Grades 7-9 in my last year at the independent school in 2020).
