I have over forty years' experience of private tuition to students aged 2 to adult. I have taught maths and English to all ages, including preparing students for entrance exams. I also teach science up to KS3. I have worked with those for whom English is not their first language, to help them improve their skills. I also have extensive experience of working with students with various kinds of special educational need such as autism, ADHD, delayed development, etc.
I take pride in creating a programme of work which addresses the needs of each individual and helps them to build their confidence as well as competence.
I usually work in my home but can also offer online sessions. As I am moving to a new area, I am currently only taking online students. This will change once I move.

My name is Sheona B. and I am a Primary School Teacher with over 12 years experience in classrooms and tutoring individuals outside of school.
I have taught children from Nursery age to Year Six and I have always ensured that I plan and deliver lessons that not only meet the child's needs, but are also fun, interactive and engaging! I work hard to ensure that the children I teach can thrive and achieve!
I deliver both 30 minute & 60 minute online Primary Maths and English lessons, reaching students across the UK as well as those children in other countries. I am also able to support children who are working towards their Key Stage One or Key Stage Two SATs.

Having over 7 years of tutoring experience, I believe I would fit right into this role. I am a qualitified primary school teacher with QTS. I tutor from early years, to KS1, Ks2 and have started tutoring in 11+ for over a year in Maths and English I absolutely love seeing children excel in their education. Tutoring is an extremely rewarding job that allows me to be a part of building someone's foundation base in education and learning. This role will also give me a chance to gain more skills.
I absolutely love making the lesson fun and try my best to make it enjoyable. As a Tutor I prepare diverse and engaging activities and lesson plans to break down concepts increase student understanding and improve academic performance. I first assess the child in order to understand their strength and weaknesses. I then plan lessons according to what the child needs more help in. I organise and manage each lesson so I can have a record of what the child has done and what needs to be done. I am able to multi-task and meet students learning needs individually or in a group setting, as well as understand each child is unique and will have different learning abilities. I will be patience, have empathy and positive attitude towards each child. Going above and beyond for my student is what I feel is necessary so I know they are learning and are comfortbale to ask for extra help through email or text. I am a qualified teacher and have held various positions in schools for the past 19 years. As well as being a Teacher, I also teach online because students needed that extra support outside of the classroom and I have led a successful business for the past 5 years.
I have a plethora of resources: I never fall short on exam papers and predicted papers; interactive videos; every lesson is personailsed; and a track record that produces results every time. I hold a full DBS and am an Examiner for Edexcel. I have been fortunate to have taught a variety of exam boards that has made me have the edge when it comes to teaching: Edexcel, AQA, OCR, iGCSE, iGCSE Cambridge Board to name a few. I teach from KS1 through to KS4.
