Results in my department are usually 25-30% A*, which is more than double the school`s average at A-Level. *UCAS* I am also a Sixth Form tutor and experienced in the UCAS process for applying to university. I`m able to assist in writing high-quality, academic personal statements. I have extensive, accurate and comprehensive knowledge of the Edexcel exam technique and am experienced in training and nurturing students to convey their ideas using the perfect structure that examiners are looking for. Students will receive extensive notes on any topic that they request, all of which are written by myself and so are checked for relevance and accuracy within the specification. Tutoring sessions are supported by interactive PowerPoints (all created by myself) which breakdown complex diagrams and information into more manageable chunks. Students will receive all copies of these PowerPoints upon request, so that they can revisit topics in their own time. All of this material is included in my fee. I am enthusiastic, organised and knowledgeable teacher with QTS (qualified teacher status). I trained at the Institute of Education, which is part of the UCL in London and was recently ranked number 1 in the world for education for the fifth successive year. I am a Maths and Physics enthusiast with an aptitude in essay based subjects as well ,specifically economics. I am currently an undergraduate at Imperial College for Aeronautical Engineering and am happy to teach all abilities up to GCSE. From my tutoring background I have developed a calm and reasoned approach to mentoring. I have tutored maths online via a text-based mentoring app where we used whiteboards an to guide students . As a violinist of 9 years I have also tutored experienced players during my last 4 years of school. Overall I can draw from my experience to ensure sessions are engaging yet effective. I teach GCSE Economics, Maths and Physics and am proficient in all types of question, from exam to a more problem solving type. Using the specification I can tailor any material taught to the student’s needs, maintaining precision in key concepts. This includes the International Economics papers for students who study the subject around the world and the Singapore A-Level papers - set solely for students of that country. I will also regularly be assessing your improvement through the use of practice papers to get an idea of where the student is at and how they can further improve.
