I am a highly experienced, flexible and very versatile tutor, with advanced degrees and teaching qualifications in business, finance, history, literature, art, classics, maths and sciences. I teach at Middlesex University, and also conduct face to face and online training for a variety of other clients, from teenagers up to adult professionals. I have experience with exam prep (IB, CFA, CISI) as well as undergrad and postgrad courses in the subjects listed above. I can travel across London or even overseas for the right assignments. My name is Rachael and I am a qualified Business Studies teacher and Head of Business Studies in an Outstanding London secondary school. I am also an A-Level AQA examiner which means I have very good knowledge of exam technique and what is required to achieve high grades.
I have experience teaching pupils with a range of abilities and will ensure all tutoring sessions are tailored to individual pupils needs. I have created a wide range of resources that I will share with pupils during sessions which will help pupils to progress in the subject.
I have just become available from February 2024 to give tutoring to A-Level, BTEC and GCSE pupils.

- I deliver lectures; run conversations, perform on-going verification of students' newly acquired knowledge and topic understanding
- Prepare materials for the lectures: on-line videos, presentation, reading material, exercises, problems
- I do students' register (keep attendance)
- I motivate students by showing them their life goal options
- I motivate students by showing how interesting the innovation and entrepreneurial business can be, especially in the digital era world
- I do EEA sessions - I cover other teachers if needed
- I participate in Teacher's meetings
- I use MS Teams for communication with students and teachers
- I prepare clarification of exam requirements and explain Assignment Briefs
- I verify student's assignments and I mark them, I do it in group and individual sessions
- I do individual consulting on students' work gaps to bridge (coaching)
- I am an invigilator for (mock) exams
- I actively do participate in student's assessment www.*** I make notices on students’ behaviour and class attendance on ProMonitor IT system; I report these to Business management teams/ Head
- Constant contact with Business team Managers on all these above
- I am an IV (Internal Verifier) if needed.

I have over 20 years of teaching experience in International Business / Business Studies at A Level & BTEC Business, GCSE and Degree level. Also, I have excellent experience of teaching EFL / ESOL English to international learners.
I have real Managerial business experience from the corporate world as I worked for DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Company and Mational Westminster Bank PLC.
My international teaching experience is derived from working for The British Council in Istanbul where I was responsible for all business courses for students and corporations, which involved teaching and designing the course syllabus. Furthermore, I also ran my own Training and International Language school between 2004-2017 in Istanbul.
Currently, I am lecturing at a University (Degree) and a Private School in London(A Level) , where I teach Business and English.

Have been teaching for seventeen years in both the state and independent sectors, currently Head of department at a small independent school in Hertfordshire. Have extensive experience of teaching all three subjects to to A Level. Excellent results with high value added year on year. I started my career as a business person in the corporate world and gained very hands-on experience in various start-ups, in manager positions.
However my first career was a financial professional but I was probably born with the skills of teaching and training and the desire to educate.

I love the outdoors and cycle 100 miles a week for my commute to school. I was fortunate enough to spend two years cycling around the world, so would like to think I am both patient and resilient in equal measure.
I have over 10 years teaching experience, teaching Business and Economics GCSE and A Level. I was awarded 'outstanding' in my trainee year and went straight onto complete an MA in education. I spent 3 years in a challenging school setting before being invited to return to my current school where I originally trained. My roles have been varied including head of enterprise, head of year 12 & 13 and my current role as head of Social Sciences (Business, Economics & Sociology). I have recently completed a secondment with the Senior Leadership team focusing on effective revision strategies, which involved implementing a whole school initiative. I am also an examiner for A Level Business.
I would take a flexible approach dependent on the needs of the student. I have a range of effective revision/retrieval strategies which could be used in the session, along with a wealth of teaching resources which I would be happy to share. I would make sure that the sessions are interesting, interactive and with a focus on any misconceptions the student may have. I would be happy to mark work in between sessions and showcase model answers to help improve exam technique where required.
