Mathematics, English, and Science have always been among my strongest and most enjoyable subjects. With a First Class degree in Biomedical Science and a deep interest in education, I bring both academic knowledge and a passion for teaching to my tutoring. Science, in particular, is a subject I have studied extensively and continue to apply in my full-time role at a private histology lab in Central London.
Over the past five years, I have tutored students in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English, working with learners from Year 9 to Year 12. My students have gone on to achieve excellent results, with several securing places at top universities including Oxbridge for Maths and Physics. I also provide support for university interview preparation.
My teaching approach is highly personalised. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style, academic goals, and areas for improvement. I believe in making lessons interactive and engaging by encouraging student input and focusing on active learning strategies such as problem-solving, exam technique, and learning from mistakes rather than passive note-taking.
My tutoring journey began during my own school years, where I led weekly afterschool sessions to support younger students. This experience shaped my belief in the importance of mentorship and peer-led learning.
In addition to academic tutoring, I have also mentored students in music. I hold Grade 8 in Piano and Grade 7 in Singing, which has strengthened my communication skills and my ability to build positive, productive relationships with both students and parents.
Whether your child is preparing for GCSEs, A-levels, or university applications, I am committed to helping them build confidence, improve their skills, and reach their full potential in a supportive and structured environment.

Hi, my name is Grace www.*** I specialise in supporting pupils in their exam years, particularly GCSE Biology. I have had two and a half years experience working in a secondary school helping pupils achieve their grades via one to one and group tutoring sessions. I have also had a wide range of experience working with SEND children, particularly those with autism and ADHD. I also have two brothers with these conditions so have a broad knowledge on the struggles they face but also the huge potential that lies within them. It is important that an inclusive environment where they can thrive is established so their talents can shine through. I have produced a wide range of study resources for my tutoring sessions all of which are very visual to help the students with remembering content but also so those with SEND needs can easily access and understand them as well. My understanding of the support that those with additional needs can get in their exams is profound as I used to deal with arranging this in my previous work for two years. If you would like advice or help with this then get in touch!
During my own A-Level studies, I was in a car crash and sustained a traumatic brain injury and suffered from PTSD. This occured during my exam week! It brought many challenges but I was still able to gain AAB in my exams due to the techniques I developed to study effectively despite memory issues I had. I now teach others with similar physical and psychological conditions different ways to deal with their setbacks, and techniques they can use for their exams/revision so they are less impacted and can still thrive!
In September 2021, I will be starting a degree in Primary Education Studies to broaden my knowledge of the early curriculum but also to expand my teaching ability further in order to give my best to the next generation. In the meantime, if you are looking to bump up your grades in GCSE/A-Level Biology or are wanting some extra support for an individual with SENDs/brain injuries then get in touch, I would love to share my knowledge and expertise with you!

I'm an experienced GCSE/A-level Biology Tutor with a very strong scientific background. I have a 1st Class BSc in Medical Physiology and am currently studying graduate entry medicine.
My aim is to help students develop a thorough understanding of scientific concepts & develop their ability to apply knowledge to questions. I believe that all students learn differently and should be tutored in a manner that's best suited to their way of learning. In addition to planning and preparing for lessons, I also create supplementary worksheets tailored to the challenges I notice in each individual student.
I’ve tutored students of all ages both online & in public spaces.

Hi everyone, I'm a medical student at UCL. I've been tutoring GCSE and A-Level Maths and Science for 2 years. At GCSE I achieved Grade 9's in Maths and Combined Science. At A-Level I achieved: A*A*A* in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.
As an experienced tutor and recent College Graduate, I fully empathise with learners who face challenges without the appropriate one to one support. My ambition is to help students tackle difficult concepts so that they can answer exam questions confidently and not feel that they have gaps in their knowledge.
As a medical student, I can also give insight to aspiring medics for their UCAS application, personal statement, UCAT and interview preparation.

Every student has a unique way of learning, so I offer tailored teaching to help students excel.
You should expect engaging discussions, topic quizzes, regular exam practice and an overall confidence boost when approaching the subject.
I enjoy teaching Science, Maths and French. I am dedicated to my students and am motivated to help them achieve the grades that they are looking for. I learnt the new style of GCSE, so I understand the challenges that they bring and how to overcome them, which has helped my students to progress and achieve. I have a fun and enthusiastic teaching style which I`ve been told engages my students. I take pride in being able to help younger students as I remember being at that stage and I would have really liked someone who could answer my questions about further education.
My current students have improved by 2 to 5 grades throughout the year and I can provide you with feedback and references from these students.
I am enhanced DBS checked.

My teaching style is catered around the individual that I am teaching. I am able to understand their individual targets and what suits them. This is through repetitive exam question practice and recapping knowledge before moving onto other topics in the syllabus. I have experience of tutoring peers and medical students. I look at the exam specification and understand the goals and targets with my students and what they wish to achieve and therafter build upon that. The aim is for them to achieve their targets and perform confidently with sufficient knowledge and exam practice.
