We believe that every child is unique, and so our lesson plans reflect this. You will notice that we purposely only have between 10-20 in each class (max numbers depend on the age group). This is so that we can offer our individual attention to every J Star , and so we can create a more confident child and therefore change their future!
Online Acting Lessons
I have over 30 years experience as a professional practitioner in the Performing Arts including directing, stage management and teaching. I have run my own Performing Arts Schools and been Head of Department and Head of Faculty in varios colleges. I have also taught English from GCSE up to Degree Level.
I studied for a BA in English & Drama which unfortunately was not completed due to ill health. However I have gone on to gain other qualifications at degree level including:

I'm a young adult who is currently navigating my way through the screen acting realm.
I had 1-2-1 acting training for 8 years completing many LAMDA exams, but have been acting for 10 years. Amongst this, I began private singing lessons 9 years ago, focusing on musical theatre and classical repertoire. Not only this, 8 years ago I began Ballroom and Latin dance classes and I now compete nationally as well as teaching . I guess you could say I'm a bit of an old soul!
Overall I just adore helping others achieve their full potential, and ensuring that they feel confident within themselves.

We follow the Lamda syllabus for those who wish to follow this line of study in all grades and disciplines, up to Diploma preparation. We are a registered private Lamda examination centre. We offer voice work, audition & drama scholarship preparation and accent reduction. Dramatic Arts Publications have published a series of acting books on Shakespeare, Anton Chekhov & Oscar Wilde, all available for purchase on Amazon or at the studio.
Whether you are starting out or are experienced and need help with your acting I will draw on Meisner and Stanislavski methos techniques to help you acheive your goals with your performance. I cover ALL aspects of working towards a career in Acting including: * Researching and preparing for drama shool auditions * Directing monologues * Researching and applying for an agent * Directing auditions * Preparing for a role / Interpreting text * Approaching Casting Directors * Self-tape training (most castings are initially done by this) * What to expect from the industry * Acting for stage * Acting for film (essential and very different from stage acting) * Understanding IMDB/Spotlight/Equity/Mandy etc I work with any ages/abilities. These lessons also have an option of working towards shooting a showreel scene if requested (£negotiable). Showreels are essential in progressing in the industry. I am a teacher of 32 years Performing arts and Gcse English has Mainstream/sen/ASD.
Completed A Levels last year and received A*A*A grades, in Economics, Drama and Maths. Can offer fresh perspective on being a student under the current syllabus, whilst also understanding the pressures students are under; I teach part-time whilst studying Acting at Mountview. I am passionate and hard-working actor, who has found a link with teaching.
I have worked professionally as an actor, a playwright and as a singer-songwriter for the past five years, since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2016. Last year I wrote, composed and starred in a new original musical which is being revived again this year. Later, in the summer, I will play my first festival set as a solo singer-songwriter. I have been playing guitar, keyboards and writing songs for over ten years. My first album and tour as a singer-songwriter are due next year.
At school, I received 8 grade 1 (the highest possible grade) Standard Grade Awards (equivalent of GCSEs). I then received 5 grade A (the highest possible grade) Higher Awards (equivalent of A Levels), as well as receiving Best In School Awards for English and History, I received Certificates of Merit for the three other subjects: Music, French and Maths.

Musica Nova, the International Academy of Music, is a unique bilingual establishment in the UK that combines the best of British and Russian principles of teaching and offers music lessons and complex Certificate programmes for children (starting as early as 3. 5 years old) and adults (up to advanced professional level).
It has six categories of classes geared to maximise the potential of the student in musical styles and genres as diverse as classics, jazz, pop, dance, and drama. It was founded in 2001 and is based in the London Borough of Camden, within walking distance of King’s Cross St. Pancras tube station (zone 1). Thanks to the Academy, children, teenagers and adults from all ethnic backgrounds, including the Russian-speaking community in London, are being introduced to a beautiful world of music, enabling them to develop and improve their talent and to embark on professional music activity.
Musica Nova has established partnership links with artistic management agencies, record companies and cultural institutions. Since March 2011 the Musica Nova has held membership of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM) one of the major umbrella organisations in the UK joining professional teachers and musicians. In 2012 the Musica Nova took part in the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Music Education held at the Palace of Westminster. Recent documentaries about the Academy have been broadcast by the BBC, major national and international Russian TV channels and the Russian Hour programme on the Digital Sky TV channel.
Teachers
All teachers are highly qualified professional musicians with a Conservatoire education, and with vast teaching experience with legal working status in the UK. All new teachers are carefully assessed and vetted in accordance with DFES regulations and employment legislation and with the Musica Nova’s own quality control procedures.
Lessons and Curriculum
Lessons take place in soundproof studios, equipped with pianos and elegantly designed to bring a sense of intimacy and discipline to the teaching. Both one-to-one and group sessions of up to eight students, are run at the Academy to fit in with students and parent’s busy lifestyles. If requested, lessons can also take place at client’s home (within the London area) and online.
The programmes are specially designed to lead and direct students from very first steps in music to Certificate (Grades 1 – 8) and Degree programmes (Performing and Teaching Diplomas) with participation in concerts, recording projects, performances at the international festivals and competitions. The ‘Music Wonderland’ is an innovative authoring programme offered to younger students. In close collaboration with child psychologists it assists in teaching music to children with dyslexia, speech and concentration problems.
In 2014 the Musica Nova introduced new educational programmes. Free concert events and workshops popularising good quality classical and contemporary music are open for children and adults in the Camden Russian communities in London.
Exams
Every year over 200 students are successfully assessed and receive Diplomas from major national examination boards. Students continue further music education in colleges and conservatoires in the UK (Royal Academy of Music, Royal Music College, Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, Cambridge and Oxford Universities) and Russia (State Conservatoire in Saint Petersburg, Gnessin Institution in Moscow).
Performances and Competitions
Students and teachers of the "Musica Nova" Academy have successfully performed in front of the members of the Royal Family, members of Parliament, politicians and celebrities.
