Hi all, I’m currently a UCL Economics student after receiving top grades at both GCSE and A levels in Maths, Further Maths and Economics. I am currently offering tutoring in maths for those going into both 11+ and GCSE’s or anywhere in between!. I'm aware of what it takes to get a top grade and I’m sure that I can help you or your child to achieve academic success.
As an experienced tutor specialising in both GCSE and 11+ preparation, I am passionate about helping students achieve their full potential through a tailored and engaging approach to learning. My tutoring style combines academic rigour with personalised strategies that ensure students not only grasp core concepts but also develop confidence and enthusiasm for their studies.
My approach to learning focuses on various key components: 1. Tailored learning plans - every student is unique and I make sure to take the time to assess their strengths, areas for improvement and learning style within the first few sessions allowing me to create a personalised plan to best meet there specific needs. 2. A focus on understanding, as opposed to memorisation - For both 11+ and GCSE students, my teaching philosophy centres on ensuring true understanding through tackling difficult concepts in a clear and approachable manner as well as the usage of a multitude of practise questions to ensure students are able to apply their new knowledge. 3. Building confidence and exam technique - I’ve learnt throughout my academic career that confidence truly is the key to success, especially when it comes to exams. I work with students to improve their exam technique, time management and stress management strategies through stimulating exam conditions in my lessons.
