We will come to understand both the micro and macro-scales.
Think of it as a large Google Maps with cities and intersecting highways. The student, in their mind, should be able to ‘zoom in and out’ of all topics whilst never forgetting the larger picture.
HOW TO SUCCEED
Identification: Identify the topics with the biggest weaknesses Identify the current methodology in which the student applies their knowledge Identify distractors Identify goals Targeting: Collaboratively create an overview map of transitioning from weakness to goal Create a more detailed and prescriptive plan for student (including studying habits, scheduling, learning methods)
I believe immersive and interactive is crucial in helping with memorisation and crystalising knowledge. Using whiteboards, flash cards, modeling programs, etc. - this will not be rote memorisation.
