I am a Second Year Student at the University of York studying BA Modern Languages with experience tutoring in French and Spanish for secondary-age students. Having only recently achieved A*A*A* at A Level, as well as GCSEs in French Spanish and Italian all at Grade 9, I have a wealth of in depth knowledge not only of languages and language learning, but also of the nature of the GCSE and A Level exams. I have a wide variety of revision techniques/resources applicable to the current exam system, and am able to provide tuition focusing on both written and oral exams. In my experience, tuition coming from a young person to another young person is extremely effective, and provides the student with a strong feeling of support as well as boosting confidence; many young people find aspects of the exams such as the oral exam very daunting, and often dread practising it particularly when they do not feel supported and confident with the person with which they are practising. I create an environment in which the student feels safe and capable to practise without fear of judgment. As well as exam preparation, I can aid with homework and general topics of difficulty. |
