I recently moved back to Inverness after living in Asia for 15 years. I have been tutoring English full time to children aged www.*** - 12 years old since early 2020. Before this I did it part time whilst I had a full time job. Simultaneously, I successfully accomplished the TEFL level 5 certificate as I am committed to developing my professional education and am now doing a Post Graduate Diploma in Education online.
Throughout my time teaching, I have gained extensive experience in Jolly Phonics, building vocabulary, grammar, creative writing, pronunciation, interview preparation and more. I have learned to always clarify my students’ learning objectives and to structurally plan lessons to keep them focused, yet challenging at an appropriate level.
My extensive work experience in Asia has enabled me to develop a range of practical skills, such as time management, communication and organisational skills. Additionally, it has made responsibilities such as writing weekly detailed reports on each student more proficient. Most importantly, I have a wealth of experience working well with others, motivating and inspiring them. Children love my charisma, as I am very creative, out-going and patient. I believe that these are all very notable contributions for teaching. |
