I've taught Photography for 18 years in secondary, further, and higher education in both the UK and USA and provide friendly, knowledgable private tuition. This includes black and white film processing and printing in the darkroom, digital photography, editing and manipulating in Photoshop, and experimental creative processes. Other areas of specialism include personal creative development, contextual research, critical analysis and annotation, and writing skills. Whilst Head of Photography at an inner London secondary school for over 4 years, my GCSE Photography classes achieved the highest grades in the school for two years running. I set fun and enjoyable exercises, explain and break instructions, methods, and assignments down into understandable bites, and will provide you with learning materials to simplify tasks and meet the needs of students with a range of practical and academic abilities. With my tuition, I'm confident that you can learn new skills, develop and expand your current level of knowlege, and excel in this subject area. Tutoring can take place in my home or yours or in an alternative location.
