My nаme is Leоn аnd I prоvide tuition in maths at all levels up to GCSE. My specialism is focusing on people who struggle with maths, including people with dyslexia, and getting them from predications of grade 1 to within reach of grade 4 or 5 in as little as 12 lessons.

In addition to meeting the requirements set by the national curriculum for Key Stage 1 to 3, the tuition I provide can be tailored for the following exams:

My background has involved delivering tuition and training to individuals and organisations for over 7 years, including to the NHS and Dundee Council. My maths tuition is provided inline with the requirements of the national curriculum Key Stage 1,2 and 3, as well as to match the criteria of all major examination boards for GCSE including:


For adult learners, I am also able to provide tuition specific to functional skills.

Tutoring Approach

The learning method I have developed for maths is highly suited to people who struggle with the subject, especially those who are affected by learning barriers such as dyslexia. Students make significant progress with my learning method because it is designed to match the thinking processes of people who are more hands on and visually oriented in their learning, allowing them to understand maths in a way that they can make sense of with minimal effort.

My revolutionary learning approach has been designed around each of the following criteria to make learning maths easier, efficient and relevant:

Avoiding the introduction of new language. Allowing concepts to be learnt from pre-existing knowledge. Avoiding the need to remember specific maths formulas.

These criteria are supported by exclusive learning content that I have developed for my courses to match the thinking processes of people affected by difficulties in learning maths. This learning content is provided in the form of:

Visual learning content for understand maths concepts without reading. Interactive tools to learn through experimentation and enquiry.

The learning method allows students to recall maths formulas and names used in maths using memory techniques that require minimal effort to learn – and most importantly remain in memory for future recall. My students using these memory techniques only need to be shown maths formulas and concepts once using my learning tools and content – they are then able to recall this information weeks later with minimal effort.

My learning tools can also be used to track progress made throughout the duration of my tuition, which you as a parent can also access via your computer, smartphone (including iPhone) or tablet such as iPad. The learning tools and I content that I have developed helped me to win an award that was featured on BBC Radio Merseyside and in the Liverpool Echo.
