I completed my PGCE in History Secondary teaching at the institute of Education in 2004 and since then have worked in a range of state and private schools, as well as tutoring all ages from primary to A Level. I currently teach History and Politics at at top London school. In addition I am an examiner for GCSE, IGCSE and A Level with Edexcel and OCR. As an experienced teacher and tutor, I recognise that all students approach the subject in different ways and have different strengths and areas for improvement. I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement however this must be combined with academic rigour. My work as a GCSE and A Level examiner gives me a valuable insight into what it is that examiners are looking for and I will use this to bring out the best in my students but at the same time help them be as prepared as they can be for public examinations. I am patient and enthusiastic - I love my subjects - and I aim to instil this enthusiasm in my students. |
