Bows and arrows have always held a fascination for me and as a child I tried to make my own using the branch of a tree, a piece of string, and painstakingly acquired suitable sticks for arrows, some of which were so bent, they shot better round corners. I have always had an interest in medieval archery and the expertise of the English Longbow men. I have been competitively shooting for nearly 25 years mainly with the Recurve bow, longbow and also the compound bow. In 2003 I became a GNAS level 1 coach and also qualified to work with children. My love of archery and also the rapidly growing popularity of the sport was the basis for the establishment of Robins Reach Archery. |
