Students are individuals with nuanced and complex educational needs. However, in some cases, even the best schools and universities can fail to maximise young people’s potential and prevent them from flourishing as they should. My approach as a tutor is to adapt to the needs of each student and to encourage personal growth, build self-belief and instil a long-lasting ability to learn independently. I have lectured at Ruskin College Oxford in the social sciences for over 8 years, at the same time, I have tutored pupils from many of the best schools in the country, including Cheltenham College and Harrow. As well as this I have tutored gifted students from state schools and have been instrumental in gaining them Oxbridge places, as well as other leading UK’s institutions. As well one-to-one lessons, I have worked, over many years with my students to present their best possible selves in personal statements for university applications. Teaching and learning is my life and when I take on a student I feel a deep responsibility toward them. I feel this is the key to the successes I have had. |
