With over six years of experience supporting learners aged 4 to 18, I offer individualised, student-led tutoring for children who are home-educated or have special educational needs (SEN). My focus is always on building confidence, creating a calm and supportive space, and adapting lessons to suit each child’s unique pace and learning style. Since founding Tutoring Stars, I’ve worked closely with families to provide consistent, flexible support whether students are preparing for exams, catching up after time away from school, or navigating learning alongside health or emotional challenges. I’ve worked in nurseries, schools, and private tutoring both in person and online across core subjects including English, maths, and science. My experience includes one-to-one and group teaching, 11+ preparation, and long-term support for students with autism, ADHD, and anxiety. I also stay in close communication with parents, believing that a joined-up, understanding approach makes all the difference.
One parent kindly shared that I had become “a consistent source of academic support, emotional encouragement, and stability” for their child, who faced ongoing health issues and school absence. They felt my lessons helped him stay engaged, rebuild confidence, and look forward to learning again. I'm incredibly grateful for that trust because above all, I just want to help children feel supported, valued, and capable of progress, whatever their journey looks like.
