I have 15 years’ experience teaching English, including special needs, both in schools and adult education. I’m a qualified Specialist Dyslexia Tutor and work with both children and adults who have dyslexia and/or other SEN. I can offer support with memory, processing and organisation in addition to reading, writing and spelling. The methods used are multisensory and structured. Prior to teaching I always fully assess to identify strengths and areas of development. From this I create an individualised learning plan. Finally, I am a professional member of the British Dyslexia Association participating in regular Continuing Professional Development to ensure my knowledge and methods stay up to date. |
