Every child deserves an opportunity to reach their maximum potential. In addition to focusing on a child`s academic progress, I always look for opportunities to boost their confidence and self-esteem - as these are crucial for a holistic development. Difficult concepts are broken down in smaller ones through scaffolding using different techniques differentiated according to each child`s individual need. It is important to push each child past their comfort zone, and I do exactly that with the students I tutor by challenging them in different ways. I tutor children across the primary phase, all the way from teaching how to read and write in English, to solving complex problems in Maths, to preparing them for their upcoming SATs or 11+ exams.
I tailor my lessons to cater for each child's individual needs. I have a gentle and friendly approach towards children and I always look for ways to help them make connections between the things they learn and for them to develop a love for learning. I believe that every child is truly special and unique. I have successfully tutored children with specific learning needs, as well as children that have English as an additional language. Terms and conditions
I pride myself on building up a good working relationship with my clients. Since tutoring is normally for a period of some months as examinations approach and in the interests of fair play for both parties, I've set out some key points regarding charges and cancellations during the tutoring period.
Charges
A-Level sessions are delivered online weekly via Teams in one-hour blocks. Charges reflect my qualifications, experience and the way my sessions are tailored to each individual student’s needs, making them highly effective at boosting learning, confidence and grades. Knowing all the misconceptions and pitfalls on content and structuring examination questions makes all the difference and it is vital that tutoring is effective for the student.
I am happy to offer each new client one free initial assessment and discussion session to assess the needs and type of help required plus it gives you a chance to see how I work and fit in with your requirements. There is no obligation on either side to continue after this first session.
Cancellations Policy
Once a regular slot has been booked for the student, the same time every week, I will endeavour always to be available to tutor them. There is scope for discussion if a session needs to be rearranged (24 hours requested), subject to my availability.
From time to time, flexibility on both sides is required due to life events and unexpected occurrences. This may involve cancellation of a particular session or the need to reschedule and I will always try to accommodate if I can do so.

I specialise at all levels and abilities, including all aspects of SEN, including ASD. I built my own teaching facility and this can cater for 4 students at a time, if need be. Hello, I'm Rosana, I am a doctor in organic chemistry, passionate about chemistry. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in UCD, Ireland and as a secondary job I offer basic chemistry, organic and advance chemistry (synthetic, medicinal, NMR, etc) and spanish ( I am native) classes at all levels. My methodology depends on each student, which I will evaluate in each class. In the first part of the classes I teach theory so that you can understand in depth the topics you want or need to learn and then you practice. We will solve problems together but I will also give you extra activity so that you improve and learn in each class. I provide classes in English and Spanish. I offer french lessons from beginner level to experienced, no matter the age and expectations (whether it’s for school/exams or just if you want to learn a new language for fun). I can also offer my help with homework or any type of translation.
The first session is free because I believe it's important to first take some time to talk about your needs and expectations, evaluate your level and what I can bring you. And also just for you to decide wether you think I'm the right tutor for you.
Once we've set an objective, we can start building the perfect lesson for you. I like working with books, songs, movies and anything that can make the lesson more interactive. Doing a little bit of translation and conversing in french if your level allows it or just focusing on the basics while going at your own pace. I can also give homework in between lessons if we've agreed to. The whole point is for you to feel confident, ask as many questions as you need and progress.
