Hello. I am an enthusiastic, helpful, and approachable secondary school teacher who already has a wealth of experience teaching various subjects at different levels. My aim is to ensure that all pupils I teach are supported in order for them to reach and achieve their full potential. I currently teach Advanced Higher, Higher, and National 5 level at Modern Studies. I also currently teach National 5 History, but have had experience teaching Higher History previously. I will also be teaching Higher Politics from this year. I have also taught NPA in Criminology. I like to ensure that my lessons and the materials that I create are structured and explained in a way that is engaging, useful, and hopefully easy to understand for all of my learners. I have previous tutoring experience of National 5 level and this resulted in the pupil going on to achieve an A in the final exam.

As I have quite a bit of experience in industrial software engineering, I've helped many of my (younger) peers at the University of St Andrews during our MSc course.
Probably the best way to teach programming / computer science is through examples. Many, many examples.

A passionate teacher who will communicate his subject in a clear and concise manner, who will also, motivate his students. My main aim of my lessons is that the lessons are always broken down into a fundamental level, so that the students can find the subjects, to which i teach easy to understand and follow, which gives the students the opportunity to ask questions. Teaching Maths, Physics at National 5 level AQA, GCSE. Also, new subjects that i will be teaching is the Introduction to Python Programming and C++ coding. Check each student forunderstanding of the subject taught in the class www.*** of waiting to test students’knowledge in a test, checking for comprehension during each lesson.
This process has allowed me to answer student questions and provide a deeper understanding of the topic for students. Feedback is then offered, which allows the students to know how their performance matches up with your expectations. Feedback that is timely, detailed and constructive can assist students in understanding academic expectations.

The classroom space has been an avenue to put my theoretical knowledge and teaching strategies into practice. I teach English for specific purposes, English grammar, English vocabulary and English composition to beginners, intermediate and advanced level learners. I employ diverse strategies such as the communicative language teaching (CLT), task-based language teaching method, the Dogme approach, etc., depending on learners’ proficiency level. I incorporate real life objects which learners can easily relate to (Realia), trending topics and current world events in my lessons to keep my lessons fresh and relevant. This helps learners connect their learning experiences in the classroom to the world around them.
In addition, I encourage active learners’ involvement in my lessons through engaging activities, feedback and assessment reports employing role play activities, student led presentations, debates and break out room sessions (for virtual classes). My teaching practice aims to support learners in their quest to improve their English skills. As an ESOL tutor, I am saddled with the responsibility of providing quality English lessons, I prepare lesson materials that suit learners’ needs, considering factors such as age, background, and proficiency level.
I have taught primary level pupils (age 5-10), secondary school students (age 10-16). I have also developed my pedagogical skills through teaching opportunities in summer schools in the UK (2022 and 2023 in Perth and Edinburgh respectively). I taught English to teenagers from Italy, Brazil, and Spain providing English lessons in their preparation for the Trinity GESE exam, working both individually and collaboratively with various staff members.
I demonstrate some leadership skills such as relationship building, problem solving, critical thinking, time management, resilience, innovation, and adaptability both in my teaching practice and outside practice. In my leisure time, I participate actively in a charity organization in Dundee, especially every weekend, where I sing, play the drums and the guitar. I also take a leading role in the youth arm of this organization.
