I’m a newly established tutor. I have tutored privately within my family and friends and I have experience in working with children with learning disabilities such as autism and adhd.
My name is Melissa, and I’m passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals.
Background: I have a background in tutoring Maths and English with 4 years of experience in tutoring and education. I hold a degree in Childhood Studies from University of West of Scotland, and I am currently studying my PGDE Primary Education which has equipped me with a solid foundation in the curriculum and teaching skills.
Tutoring Approach: I believe in a personalized approach to tutoring, adapting my teaching style to meet each student’s unique needs. I focus on building understanding and confidence through interactive lessons, practice problems, real-world applications.

I spent 10 yeasr working globally as an English Language (ESL) & Literature (IGCSE), and IELTS. I have taught both online and in-person with class sizes form 1 to 45 students. Age range of students have been from Kindergarten to 70 years old, in Public & Private Schools, Universities, and Corporations. Locations have included South Korea, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE and the UK.
I have also worked in senior roles including Head of Middle School and Assoicate Director of Studies. I am currently based in the UK.
During these unprecedented times it is clear that education has been affected. As a tutor I aim to help pupils recover some of this lost time.
For secondary school students I can tutor english, geography, history, maths, environmental science, biology, and chemistry. This can include aspects specific to your school curriculum, for example english texts/poems your school teaches or chemistry topics you have struggled with and seek to improve.
For students about to start university I can help with university preparation. This would take the form of reviewing essays and essay writing techniques. From personal experience, the expectation for university work was significantly higher than secondary school. This development of your skills will help to make this transition easier and be reflected in your grades.
My previous experience tutoring ranged from helping a class A student reach full marks in chemistry, to a student attaining 10% in geography class tests improving to 50% after one month.

I have been doing creative writing for over 20 years, I have currently in production, 3 movies and 1 theatre play, which includes 1 horror trilogy, 1 modern historic horror, 1 docu comedy, and 1 theatre production.
I am restarting Christie's drama school, but it will be re named,Christie's community drama group, which will include a professional theatre comsny side group, the company will also run a professional movie company, editing equipment, filming equipment etc, and I am starting filming one of my films next May 2025, mirror versions of reality.

I have performed and have been member over on the Toastmaster's International Club for quite a long period of time which is an NGO. This helps people in getting acquainted with speaking good english and also writing it even when they belong to countries not having english as the first language. After that I have became Vice President of Education within my club on same platform gaining knowledge about how team work is done and help is provided to people when they try to learn something new.
Other than this I have done my majors in economics and have complete knowledge about different concepts related to this particular subject. I am currently pursuing knowlegde in the new attribute of economics which is Energy Economics that could help in gaining sustainability all around the world.
